One chord tunes on cigar box guitar

- You don't need to do chord changes in order to play a song....John Lee Hooker managed perfectly well with one chord, as did many other players and bands. As Son House said, "...it's all about the rhythm, boy...", once you get that groove going you can do a lot with one chord. Take it nice and slow, concentrate on nailing the pulsating beat and gradually add single notes and simple melodies over the top of it.

Thanks for this. Yes the thumb is on 1 as you show at 3:20 Asking newbies to start on the 'and' of 4 might be challenging.
Counting the "and" is the key to getting the rhythm.
