Much appreciated for watching SUMO PRIME TIME's coverage of Fall tourney Day 10. The announcement of yokozuna grand champion Terunofuji's withdrawal is demoralizing but the combatants who're still participating are doing their best to maintain what's happening in the ring is competitive and exciting. With the undefeated leader Hokutofuji biting the dust for the first time, it sets up a huge showdown between the two co-leadaers on Day 11 between him and Tamawashi. No question the outcome of the match will have huge impact on the championship race, so make sure to catch all the action on Day 11 and also the remainder of the tournament. Arigato always!
Hey, it's great to see this channel out here, responding to the hunger for English-language sumo coverage and analysis.Mad respect to the pioneers, Natto, Kintama, Jason and Chris.
despite a rather resounding san'yaku collapse, especially for the Y/O, this has been an entertaining basho so far. definitely rooting for takayasu on these final few days
At least Takakeisho, Wakatakakage, and Kiribayama are likely to finish with respectable scores. Shodai more than makes up for that, though, all by himself. Maybe Hoshoryu can turn things around and get his KK, or not. He's got on-fire WTK on day 11. There might be a henka. Mita, Daieisho, and Ichinojo are headed for demotion unless several miracles occur. Sad. Hoping for chaos at the end! Maybe this time we will have a multi-way playoff.
it's anyones tournament. Sumo is very exciting right now. There's gonna be some empty spaces in the top ranks soon, and there's tons of hungry wrestlers on the come up. We're seeing the future of sumo shaping itself right now. Who will lead the next era of sumo wrestling? Imo it will be the waka brothers. Wakatakakage is sitting in the perfect position to become the next japenese yokuzuna. His sumo is almost there, he just needs a little more consistency. Wakamotoharu will make a strong sekiwake or ozeki one day too.
I was actually relieved when I heard Terunofuji went kyujo. He was obviously in pain, and Teru has a huge pain tolerance. I would prefer a healthy yokozuna to one that I worry will break himself every bout. I would love him to get his goal of 10 yusho before he retires.
I'm very excited to see my favorite slappy boi, Hokutofuji, doing well! And Tamawashi is an inspiration. It's painful though because I'm also rooting for Takayasu. The pain of sumo days.
Hey Hiro. Instead of blocking every attempt to get NHK English coverage overseas NHK needs to get with the times and make the service available for subscription. Sumo is an incredible sport but JSA and NHK need to help it be seen, not hinder the sumo community! We want Hiro, Murray, Ross and Raja!!!
Hey Hiro, how is the dohyo holding up? There were some issues last week with crumbling edges. Tamawashi versus Hokutofuji for sole possession of first place will be the most important match of Day 11. Tobizaru versus Ura could be the most fun match of the entire basho. Bring on the crazy! It's about time that Teru pulled out; he should have done it last week. He should probably take November off, too. He needs rest more than anything to get as close to 100% as possible. Ice those knees, big guy.
I think this one will be won with an 11-4 record. I don't see Tamawashi or Hokutofuji finishing with less than 4 losses, and I think Takayasu and Takakeisho will be in the hunt. Could end with a multi-rikishi playoff.
Hiro, if you're going to tell us about Terunofuji's kyujo announcement, you could at least mention that he's not expected to be back for November. His time remaining in sumo is very limited. Let's let him rest, and be the best he can be when he comes back.
Shodai is a disgrace to his title. I assume that Wakamotoharu will win tomorrow, and I should not be able to do that in a matchup of Ozeki versus M6. Shodai will KK next basho, as he always seems to. One of these days he will screw up, though. He will get hurt during a kadoban basho, or he will turn it on too late. It is a shame. He has all the physical tools to reach the very top and none of the mental tools.
Honestly, I love this sport but these Ozeki are embarrassing. A Yokozuna emerged with terrible knee injuries. Really time toStep it up, Japanese Rikishi. We need new Ozeki and more Yokuzuna.

And Sumostew for many of us!
This has been an exciting basho! Still rooting for Hokutofuji!
Your content is improving, JSA. Keep it up. We need more English sumo coverage on TH-cam.
Come on Hokutofuji!
Goeido!!...he was one of my favorites when I first started watching sumo. I'm pulling hard for Hokutofuji.
Sumo Prime Time!! 👍🏻
My bet is on Tamawashi to win this tournament.
Good job Takayasu! 👍

Thanks 💖🇬🇪
The stone-faced stone wall of Takayasu wins big!

rooting for Takayasu and Tobizaru
Love the content! THank you Morita!
Hiro-san! I'd love to get one of those great Sumo Prime Time shirts! Any chance of them coming up for sale? Love the new channel! Arigato!

They don't want it bigger than they cannot control.
There would be no top rank Japanese Rikishi left once the Foreigners take over.
Love the coverage.

Does sumos always practice everyday? Sumo match is unique battle😊
TAMAWASHI KITO YUSHIO DESU! GAMBATE!
タイムスタンプのラベルは違ってるのでちょっと調整必要です!
いつもおお相撲コンテントありがとうございます!

I wonder what the name of this channel is.

Any tips on where to buy the cloth with wrestlers' names? Do they sell them around Kokugikan?
I'd like to buy one to support Wakatakakage!
Bigsumofan sells the same ones.
Hapless shodai Kadoban once again.

Correction, Terunofuji dropped out because he was getting beaten badly and had no chance of becoming the grand champion.
Love the content! That catchphrase is going to get annoying though
Sumo Prime Time!
I kinda like it
What are they always pointing at?
@@dougler500 I like seeing people say it, or try to.
I like it. Funny to see people struggling to say it and people giving it their all like the green hat guy from a couple vids.
