What a coincidence that the staff member receiving you was a subscriber! Her Japanese was unbelievably good. I know she said she spoke some at home but considering she considers English to be her native language...man that's incredible.
the way you use simple Japanese with a few difficult to understand Japanese terms is masterful! i learn so much from just a few minutes, and all while staying entertained. I love it!
@Crossanime4 Just listen and memorize words/phrases with flashcards, saying them out loud, or writing them down. Do the same with hiragana, katakana, and kanji ❤
I'm really enjoying this video. I am a beginner, but these past few months I have really been studying hard. The fact I can now read some of the Kanji in your subtitles really made me happy. At the start where you wrote 「東京にある日本語学校で日本語を教える仕事です」and I was able to follow it (slowly, and I did need to re-read it a few times) felt like a real achievement! Thank you.
@@bimbo2291 The best thing to jumpstart your kanji recognition is Anki by far. I heavily recommend a 1k-2k Tango deck so you get to real native content as soon as possible, it's the most natural method! In one or two months you'll be able to recognise quite a few kanji in manga like Yotsubato! (very recommended for beginners) and other slice-of-life content. Trust the process and the so-called "snowball effect", where the more kanji you're exposed to, the better they'll stick to you in the long term. Repetition and exposure is the absolute key to language learning. Oh, and if you don't like Anki, just throw yourself into reading as soon as possible. It will get better every day, but SRS make your path much easier as they're premade for learners. Wishing you the best :D!
This channel is Great - I'm studying Japanese and am almost finished with the first book of Genki so I understand about 30% of what you're saying and this is also a great way to remind myself of the words I should already know and hear them used in ordinary Japanese and of course a good way to pick up new vocabulary.
I found this channel today and I think it will be very helpful to me for learning Japanese. I know some kanjis(80~90) but I don't know much about particles so actually idk how to phrase the sentence properly. I want to be fluent like that receptionist. Japanese is difficult but I have fun while learning it. I hope I'll become fluent in future and come to Japan. Thank You Very Much for making such helpful videos!
This channel is really nice. ところで、it is unbelievable that the receptionist is not Japanese. She were rapping hahaha. On top of that, the thing like an English native speaker could rap like that is amazing.
Many of us have learned Japanese well because of your videos. Sensei you are helping more people than you think! This was a great video walking around visiting places. Thank you again.
I'm learning the hiragana and katakana characters for two weeks now. This helped me to develop my reading ability to read the characters as well as learning simple conversational terms. ありがとうございます!!! :) Nice to meet y'all.
I'm Brazilian and I identified with the receptionist, I also watch your videos to learn Japanese better, I love your channel 💕💕 thanks for the subtitles in portuguese👍
When the woman in the reception of the hotel was talking I thought: wow she speaks so fast! One would have to be really good to understand all that and .. it turns out .. japanese is not her first language. Wow
Wow, I am learning Japanese at the moment and thought the receptionist was speaking so fast, I dont have an hope of being that fluent, only to hear she wasnt a native Japanese speaker.
Hi Japanese people! I don’t know Japanese language, but I want to say a big thank you for supporting my country Ukraine! You are awesome people, thank you! 🙏
wow!! its been a while haven't heard a real conversation of Japanese. New subs here and I missed Japan so much. I lived in Japan for more than 7 years of working there. And I must say I wanted to go back there and tour around Japan. And watching your videos makes me realize that I wanted to live there and stay for good. I miss talking and having conversations of your language. I forgot how to speak also. But then when the lady in the hotel started to converse with you and says that she speaks English (native language) and just learned Japanese, it makes me feel more determined to try and continue my studies again. Thanks for the nice video. Keep vlogging. Yurushiku onegaishimasu.
everything in japan is cute...everything xD the hotel check in was so rapid fire I thought wow even if I would speak Japanese as native I would only capture half the words :) and then she was like oh ... I'm not native. WTF some people have an awesome grasp to learn other languages
ぼくは日本語をべんきょうします。 Although I don't fully understand everything, I am able to pick up some of what's being said. Trying not to rely so much on the subtitles but this is really helpful. ありがとうございます!
Actually I am learning Japanese on your channel as well. Thanks for helping me. One day when I'm in Japan, I'm sure I'll be even more grateful to you. SUBSCRIBED.
Well as A Brazilian I can see that this Lady recepcionist speaks too fast to her, and steady, I could never imagine she was not a Japanese citizen, remarkable, really very good student, so nice, I discovered this videos right now, and I liked so much, Tks for posting it....
Your vlog is truly amazing, I haven't gone to Tokyo before but Tokyo is the best place to travel, it's so beautiful, I wish I could go this. Also, the conversations help me a lot to practice.

That hotel receptionist's first-rate mastery of spoken japanese is outrageously remarkable
she was speaking so fast😅
I know right! That's my Japanese goals right there TーT
My jaw was on the floor when she said she wasn't native T_T
@enigmaticbeetle Need to study six hours a day
omg yes. as a japanese learner, my jaw was on the floor when she started speaking

I guess her mom or dad is Japanese, so she speaks Japanese in family. But she grows up in a English country, her first language is English.
ههههه
She’s talking 2x faster
速すぎてわかりにくいですよね
