World's Sharpest Kitchen Knife! - (Razor Sharp!)

- I made the worlds's sharpest kitchen knife, It's literally razor sharp lol, I had this idea for a while, I love replicable utility blade knifes and how cheap it is to have a fresh new sharp blade, this concept knife takes it up another whole level, I thought it would be awesome to make for a video and I think it came out really great, it works better then I even imagined, I don't really enjoy sharpening knifes so with this you can have an entire new 3 razor sharp blades for only 58¢ without sharpening anything (97¢ for 5 pack blades, 19¢ per blade), only down side is carbon steel blades corrode easily and the knife would be harder to clean then a normal kitchen knife, but I really like the idea and If you also like it, I am looking to have some of these kitchen knifes made on a CNC machine so that you could purchase one if you want, I will update when they are available so be sure to subscribe and turn notifications on, also leave a comment if you are interested in buying one so that I know if people actually want them and I can reply when available.

I would try using the square razor blades that don’t have a raised spot on the back so you don’t have to worry abt corners meeting up, I would also counter sink the screws in the razor blades and use a flat topped screw as opposed to the convex ones you used for a smoother cut 👌love the idea tho the most dangerous kitchen tool is a dull knife
Could also use a CNC for more precise placement for the blades

Utility and razor blades are different razor blades and that term come from straight razors which take an experienced honemeister to get to razor sharp which can often exceeds sharpness of scalpels. And at the lower(but still acceptable end go through a home progression to 9000 grit, then usually beyond with different finishing stones)

I saved this video two years ago and finally watched it I like the idea of a sacrificial edge being replaced by common razor blades, but the rest of it is needlessly overcomplicated.
I'm really pleased with this! It works like a charm th-cam.com/users/postUgkxDcr-y2Pf6xdnrFHrSP7dl9kpKaCozcSQ Takes less time than my old electric sharpener because it can take more off the knife faster, and then it smooths out nicely with the finer grit polisher. I don't know how long it will last before the grit wears away, but I wouldn't mind having to replace it every once in a while.

As a guy who needs to sharpen things regularly, I would buy one just so I can change the blades when they dull. This is revolutionary.
its not the greatest thing knife, i normally carry a folding utility knife and it feels so good when you put in a fresh new blade, thats what inspired the idea for this, I don't know how practical it is but its interesting and I like it
I forget the brand, but someone makes a utility knife that has a changeable blade that looks like a regular knife and only has one blade to chamge

This is exactly why I stopped carrying a pocket knife in favor of carrying a folding razor knife. I can get a 100 pack of blades for $10 and just change them when they get dull.

The irony that even after all that work, buying a good D2 knife and touching it up with a sharpening stone would still be way faster and last longer than replacing and disposing those razors every other day lol.

Very interesting idea and very clean work but god damn you have a funny way of using tools in an unusual way. You got it done though I’ll give you that. 🙏 looks great.
don't drill all the way through the knife and use short aluminum set screws for the razor blade holders so that there is less cleaning and you don't get rotational issues when replacing the blades. tell people to use vegetable oil to coat and protect the knife from water damage. the vegetable oil will also soak into the wood on the handle and make it look nice.

Utility knife isn't razor
I could see this in a fantasy setting where good quality steel was hard to make so they made swords that have modular blades of a low quality steel attached on, with both the sword and the blades being sand casted for mass production

its a neat idea to be sure. I thought for certain the protruding alan screws would cause fairly significant drag. It doesn't seem to be the case though.
My major concern would be cleaning it. The gap in the blade is just begging to become a germ trap. If it was somehow easier to get the blades off to wash the rest of the knife I wouldn't mind having it around.

2. Razor blades are sharpened to an angle which is about 8 degree.
Kitchen knives are between 15-20 degrees
