As I watch pictures of Santa, I thought back many many years ago. My dad and I were sitting in the living room waiting for mom to get done at church and Santa walked in our back door thru the kitchen and to the living room, wished us a Merry Christmas and out the front door he went! My dad and I just looked at each other and laughed!
Oh my goodness, I just loved this presentation. Once again Colleen, you did it!! It made us laugh, cry, and everything in between as well. I just love to see all the joy and festivities at this time of the year. We have lost so many in our family over the past several years, and so our celebrations are quite small these days, but I do not for one second take any of it for granted. I wish I still had some of my grandparents things to put up for the holidays, but unfortunately those things are long gone due to a house fire a few years back. But the one thing that can't be taken from me is my memories. I will carry those with me for as long as the good Lord will allow me to. But watching all of the towns and families and cities doing everything that they do for everyone this time of the year, really brings a tear (or two) to my eye to see the compassion and empathy and love that there still is in this world today. Fortunately we don't have to look too far in our wonderful town of Hastings. We are very lucky to live in such a wonderful place. Anyway, thank you again, we will tune in again tomorrow evening. God Bless you and everyone and I hope you all are having a wonderful and blessed holiday season.
