Remember the back will need to be a bit higher if you load up the t5 ,as a camper ,mine rubbed very bad until I lifted the rear ,but in running 21 s .Great video and content 👌
Love the box opening skills too funny mate Love the van starting to ckme good now keep going nathan your smashing it Thanks for the laughs Dave in ireland
Hey Dave thank you mate 👍👍 I’m running out of bigger and bigger tools, I wonder if I can borrow my landlords digger for the next box 😆. Appreciate your comment 🙏
@@YTDTETV by the way Ive seen youtubers use that buy me a coffee thing to pay for the stickers, saves having to mess around with ecommerce websites as they handle it but obviously they’ll take a cut but if you know in advance factor it into price of a sticker.
Thank you Nathan for the video as you can't beat a bit of DTE TV for a Friday evening's viewing. Love the new box opening tool 😂. Another top upgrade on the T5. Annoying about the clutch slip but looking forward to the repair/replacement video. Have a great weekend mate.
Good job Nathan . I got a new clutch going in my 2.5 in a couple of week . £850 all in 😢 . How about if you do the callipers red you could also do a thin red pin strip between the 2 colours . I have seen that done by hand on a van at a show , looks pretty cool. That will test your skill bud 🤙🏽👍🏽😂😳👍🏽👍🏽
Hey bud I’ve see that to and it did cross my mind but I decided against as I think the drop links would hit the bottom arm and I’d then have to find some shorter one etc, not off the list thow I’ll have a read and see what others do 👍
Great video as allways mate....as @Marvelwear said keep the back end higher until you know what you are going to do with the van.Great to know the Merch is on its way......Stickers in my T6 and Caddy!
Haha I did plan the first unboxing to be with a grinder but I saw the chainsaw out the corner of my eye 😆 don’t know what’s next but I have an idea but it might not work 🙈. Thanks mate
Good stuff Nath. Defo wanna run the rear higher. Helps the handling as well as it looks better. Bit stance'd if you know what I mean. Whatever colour caliper you go for, you can add some subtle same colour touches here and there like the grill inserts and badge inlays etc. Looking forward to seeing the mission that is a clutch change😂
Hey David thank you mate 👍 I do actually like a slight raise on the rear the Americans call it rake. I’ll have a look round at other people vans and see what colours they add here and there. I need to do the clutch soon so hopefully it ain’t to bad 👍👍
Hey Jim I really like a single passenger seat rather than the double, I often walk through from the driver seat to the back, so much easier than having to get out etc 👍👍
Cracking video pal looking forward to the stickers. The clutches r nice and easy pal done loads. U might have tyre noise or an out of shape hub if it’s not the bearing
Thanks mate appreciate that 👍 once the subframes out the way I think there’s loads of room, done countless car and other van box’s but not a T5. I’ll try a bearing first as it has done spaceship miles so it might be the bearing. Appreciate the comment 👍👍
Nathan you could always swap the front wheels to the back to make sure it’s not just tire noise🤔🤔tho I’m not sure if you have matching tires all round or different ones front an rear 🤔 just an idea 🤙🤙again great video an keep them coming 😎😎😎😎
That is a very good idea before loading the parts cannon at it 👍 I shal try that and report in the next video. Appreciate the comment mate appreciate that 👍
Funny video mate, like the way you leave things in the vid when they go wrong, how you gunna open the next box, where do you go from a disc cutter? Definitely need to sort a shop for stickers, need one for me caddy!! Ah yeah 🤙🏻
Hey bud thank you 👍 I leave the bits on for honesty I don’t like to cut mistakes as they happen to everyone I don’t want to claim to be perfect. I am unsure on the next bigger tool 😆 but I do have an idea. I’ll mention about stickers very soon 🙏
Great video, some good tips as usual. Can you recommend a battery powered impact driver for on the drive use? To speed up the process of diy mechanics?
Hi bud the makita I use in the video is a smaller gun which is perfect for smaller stuff, it doesn’t always undo wheel nuts I sometimes have to use the Milwaukee or a breaker bar to crack them off. For a decent all rounder there a brand called kielder and they sell them in machine mart or online and they are brilliant I had one for years it done 700nm and was relatively cheap compared to some 👍 definitely makes stripping stuff down a breeze rather than ratchets.
I managed 170 000 on the front original shocks. Replaced for the same B4 dampers for weeks ago. One only lasted a week fitted a single replacement yesterday any ideas, what caused the sudden failure pretty sure I've not hit any pot holes. Great video thanks again 😀
Hey Peter oh no that don’t sound good 😆 I’ll mention in later videos if my ones fail. Unsure why it would fail it must be down to manufacturing rather than a pothole or something. Appreciate the comment 👍👍
need to do new dampers on mine, I have the same euro springs as you mate but I have read on the forums the Bilstein b4's are designed for standard springs and will knock and ride super soft on lowering springs? The B8's have a shorter damper rod designed for lowering springs apparently, Will be interesting to see how you get on with them as I cbf to spend the extra for B8's lol
Hey bud you do have a point there the shocks being for standard ride hight, I did have these springs on original shocks and they were ok. I’ll see how these good up I couldn’t afford the posher B8’s either 👍
I didn’t know what he was on about when he was calling a hammer a Tonya Harding. So I looked her up and it turns out she’s a pro figure skater who had her rival kneecapped before an event with a hammer.
Ah that’s awesome I never knew what it Ment 👍 not the nicest story but now I know. The TH-camr I watch is vice grip garage he is brilliant he uses terminology like that all the time. Thank you for the comment appreciate that.
Nathan as always great video van looking top notch as always ( mine still looks like a beat up bean can in white ) but mechanically I'm close , followed your videos , I have got round to doing the rear 😂 and I have those same apex springs , went for miele hd shocks back and front ( can't afford those nice bilstein jobbies) only thing I added was the miele t5 to t6.1 top mounts don't know if there any good as engine is about to go back in with a gt1749vb but Stock injectors at the moment, looking big shout for the great videos .
Hey Marc thank you mate 👍 I’m sure you’ll get the van to where you want it, all takes time. The ride quality is nice on the springs and Miele shocks are good ones I’ve had them on a few vehicles. I’ve never bought Bilsteins before so thought I’d try them out. I’ve fitted the standard injectors back in mine to with same turbo you have, runs mint with no remap, I’ll do that in the near future. Appreciate the comment mage 👍🙏
PLEASE tell me that b4 (by the way, your shox are BILSTEIN B4`S) anyway, start again , please TELL ME YOU PRIMED YOUR SUPER DUPER NEW BILSTEIN SHOX`S b4 fitting them..........🙄🙄
100£ for 12mm drop and some added road noise or 50£ for 60mm lowering springs from euros 🤔 I’m not the sharpest spoon in the draw but, really? That company that make that lower cup is a dodgy company surly making a quick buck! 😂
Remember the back will need to be a bit higher if you load up the t5 ,as a camper ,mine rubbed very bad until I lifted the rear ,but in running 21 s .Great video and content 👌
Thank you mate 👍 you are spot on actually the had no weight on the back so prob sits level with a few bits in. Appreciate your comment
As said before , brilliant content Nathan , touch of humour as normal 🤣👌👍
Always appreciate your input and support Archie 🙏👍👍
When you said about painting calipers red I was out fitting my fresh painted red calipers
Ah ye bet they look sweet mate 👍👍
Nathan have u got a link for the shocks?
Loving the saws bit. Keep em up

That van is beautiful, I don’t normally like the red callipers but I think you are right about a splash of colour.
Thanks mate appreciate the input, I do like the colours but a splash of something I think is needed 👍👍

No problem thank you glad it’s helpful. I have since fitted a cheap coil over set that impressed me so check that video out it may also be useful 👍

Ace video as always mate, you’ve taught me tonnes over the last few months. Great content, keep it up 👍
Hey gregster mate thank you appreciate the kind words 🙏👍
if you grind the lip in the hub where the shock slides through you can gain 20-30mm for free lows great video as usual
Hey bud I’ve see that to and it did cross my mind but I decided against as I think the drop links would hit the bottom arm and I’d then have to find some shorter one etc, not off the list thow I’ll have a read and see what others do 👍
Another school lesson from you my Guru ...😂..love da content as per usual..

Another great video. 👍.
Stickers, etsy would be a good option.
Thanks mate appreciate that I’ll have a look at Etsy 👍
Great video as allways mate....as @Marvelwear said keep the back end higher until you know what you are going to do with the van.Great to know the Merch is on its way......Stickers in my T6 and Caddy!
Hey Paul yep I agree, I do actually like the slightly raked loom of the back end 👍 appreciate the support for stickers mate 🙏
Look forward to seeing how you top the disc cutter!
Hey mark I’ve set the bench mark high so I do have to get creative on the next one 😆
Ah yea! 😂 where’s it gonna end with the box openers 😂 I was expecting an angle grinder, nice one mate keep up the good work!
Haha I did plan the first unboxing to be with a grinder but I saw the chainsaw out the corner of my eye 😆 don’t know what’s next but I have an idea but it might not work 🙈. Thanks mate

Hey plumpi, apparently they ain’t to bad to do. Once the subframes out the way there’s Ment to be loads of room. We’ll see 😆👍👍
Nice video as per. I’ve just fitted a single passenger seat in mine today ✌️
Hey Jim I really like a single passenger seat rather than the double, I often walk through from the driver seat to the back, so much easier than having to get out etc 👍👍
That will be a great video changing the clutch, make it a longer video so you can show more of what you do.
Hey Colin I will make it a long one thank you mate 👍
Yes dude great video, top dude😎😁
Thanks Dean mate 🙏👍
Brilliant work, i want one to cruise about it .
Thank you as always Ragnar mate I enjoy driving mine 👍

I’d go Kawasaki green with the calipers and possibly a pinstripe down the van in the same colour to tie it in…ahh yeh

Hey bud I watch bikes and beards and he uses an electric chainsaw so I thought I’d go one better with a disc cutter 😆
what you need is armrests
