Great message..... Unfortunately, everyone agrees but when the time comes, nobody takes a stand to change things. Most of the useless rasms are copied from the hindus and now it has become a burden to get married. A practice that was made simple and easy for us by Allah.
Alhamdulillah I married 1.5 years ago. Feb 2018. Nikah was in masjid, rukhsati also from the masjid. No any rasam/jahaiz or anything. Just nikah and go to home. Next day walima and everything good. Alhamdulillah happy after that. Avoided all rasoomaat. Useless waste of money. I could afford those but didn't like to start life against Islamic teachings. I am more happy and my life is more simple after that. Everyone wondered how it will happen but it happened so smoothly that no one can imagine. I faced no troubles but if you go into rasoomaat, you will face bundles of tensions. Make your priority to be happy, following God, don't care what people say... And if you don't care what people say, people won't say anything. :)
