This just an award show. Their concerts are INSANE!!!!
For their 2019 MAMA finale, Dionysus, each member represents a Greek god, V is Apollo, Jin is Aphrodite, Jimin - Artemis, Yoongi - Hades, Jungkook - Poseidon, JHope - Zeus, and they are all attending RM’s (Dionysus - Ths God of Wine and partying) banquet. It took them months of preparation including remixing some of their biggest songs.
Just a clarification this performance is MMA 2019, not MAMA 2019.
a little clarification, Jin is Helios (god of the sun), Jimin is Hermes (god of ease and trade), Suga is Hephaestus (god of fire)
Jimin and Jhope went crazy on their solos.
All 7 of them are beasts. Like they are the kings for a reason. No one is doing it like them

72 year old Army here. This is all about Greek Mythology. Each member represents a specific Greek God and RM is Dionysus. The scene at the long table is prevalent in Greek Mythology depictions. In fact there is a famous painting of it by Michael Damaskinos and a scene of it was used at the 2024 Paris Olympics. People confused it with the Jesus "Last Supper". That is not what it represents here.

As a Greek fan, I absolutely agree with you. Thank you so much for pointing it out. Especially since the Greek Gods and Goddesses of Olympus were considered a part of a Hellenistic religion and they are celebrated by some Pagans to this day. So, it's definitely not biblical.

The 2019 Melon Music Awards (MMAs) took place on November 30, 2019 at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, South Korea.
Just some info for you: When BTS do these long award show performances they will have some parts that are pre-recorded and shown on a big screen to the audience. When you think they had a quick change or the production is "out of this world" (like Mikrokosmos) it is actually the pre-recorded part you are seeing. They do this so they can change for other parts or to add effects to the performance. The pre-recorded parts of this performance are RM's opening of Persona, Mikrokosmos, all the solo dances except for Jimin and RM and the beginning of Dionysus with the horses. Also, when they play the pre-recorded parts if possible to do so sometimes BTS will come out on the stage to perform along with it. They may be in different outfits than we see and not have the props. If you watch fancams of this performance you will see things like V doing his part but in the black outfit he wore in the ending and Jungkook doing his but not in the water. They leave the audio open so we can hear the audience's reaction to the performance. So, just remember, if you question, "How did they do that?" it is probably because you are seeing a pre-recorded part.
MMA 2018 and 2020 are spectacular as well, Ladies. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 BTS are just spectacular Live no matter the venue or the song. So pretty much any Live is Gold!
Even the years prior to these for MMA are terrific, and MAMA performances are also always amazing.
Best live performance by anyone, ever - full stop. Can we take a moment to appreciate that BTS are dancing on moving props...insane - that's how good they are!

this performance is insane. i still get chills everytime i watch Dionysus at the end. absolutely insane. they put their blood, sweat, and tears (pun intended) into that performance. holy shit. nobody is doing it like them, i’m telling ya. there’s nobody thats been able to outdo BTS’s award performances. i’ve yet to see it. and what makes it better is that they don’t ever release hints about the theme, they do it as a surprise so no one can even try to outdo them either way LMAO. i can’t wait for them to come back, 2025 is going to be INSANE.

So the beginning of RM solo wasn't live until he went on the stage I believe.
First two songs were live
3rd song was pre recorded
All the solos were pre recorded. Jimin was the only one who did his live
And the last song was all live
Correction: all the members performed their solos live, you can see the fancams. The aired on-screen versions were pre recorded tho and they where shown on the big screens above the stage whilst the members performed live

@@CowsRdumb Tbh I don't really remember the clip you're talking about so can't say for sure but maybe it's because the pre-recorded performances were chosen as the best takes amongst a few and jimin's was a one-take? There were so many details that could have gone wrong for e.g. the dancers mid air during tae's performance, jungkook dancing on water or intricate lightning and camera work during hobi's performance. That's probably why they chose to pre-record it for it to be perfect when the performance is fully uploaded. That's just my guess?
They didn’t change their clothes for Mikrokosmos, that part was prerecorded and played while they got changed for the next part of the performance. Jungkook’s solo part in the water was also prerecorded.
They did sing it live when it was recorded and there probably was a crowd there for it too, but the video itself was from before the actual award ceremony which is why they could do all the editing to the video.
V gladiator, Jin on the horse, Jimin the contemporary dancer, Suga the one from fire, Jungkook the one from water dancing, J hope in false love, who is the best free style dancer, RM as a vampire to finish… 💜

It was so hot of RM to do his song Persona it was such a great start to this whole performance!!! V’s and Jimin’s solo dances are so satisfying to me, they have different vibes but their auras are equally magnetic! & of course Dionysus never fails to impress & they all go crazy in this song!! 🔥🔥

it’s always so nice of MAMA to let BTS have their concerts at their award show 😂😂😂. it’s a running joke in the fandom. there’s a saying, “if you’re performing before or after BTS, you might as well just go home”. and it’s lowkey true because no one has as big of an impact on the crowd as they do. 90% of people who come to MAMA are armys anyways. there’s an army bomb pretty much everywhere.

The performance of DIONYSUS is so complex that it's hard to keep track of all that's going on. That's why it's worthwhile to watch the dance practice version of the song. Stripping away the color, costumes, lighting, and special effects allows you to see just how complicated the choreography really is.

They actually didn't, in front of thousands of ppl, for protection of the horses. It was prerecorded. But think you know that already.

Just hiring the giant led screens would have cost millions. This was suppose to be presuming a worldxwide tour then covid hit. I do not know if management will ever spend so lavishly again. OK The members of BTS were representing Greek gods I can't remember all of them Except RM was Dionysus God of wine and party His performance Off Persona was not Live it was a recording The song is a album Trailer All member members do trailers for different albums! All the performances Of the individual members were recorded not live Except for maybe Jin and V. at the beginning. The performance by jimin that you saw was prerecorded but he actually went out on stage and performed live At the award show. Obviously John cook's performance was recorded previously cause he did not have time to get undressed dry off get his hair dried and put on Stop the suit for the performance of Dionysus. Every member except for RM had different clothes on for their individual performances not enough time to change into the suits for Dionysus. The intro of them asleep and then waking up a video prerecorded Their performance of Microcosmos A video. The performances of boy in love and boy with love were live The performance of Dionysus was live. Suga was Hades the god of the underworld. Jungkook was John cook was Poseidon hence the water. What are the remaining Members was Artemis Which I'm sure is a female god I don't know if it was J. hope V. or Jin. Jimin was another god that I can't remember the name of but also a female god. A bit of trivia In the 1960NASA's Space program to go to the moon was called Apollo Their new space launch system to go back to the moon is called Artemis Which is Apollo's twin sister.
