or at least that's my guess turn 1 ocelot turn 2 ajani you get the token and ocelot gets another one turn 3 you kill ajani token with ob and get a devil token and a non legendary ob token, flip ajani and create another cat and also on copy gains you life end phase ocelot trigger 3 lands 1 ocelot 2 ocelot tokens 1 ajani pw 1 ajani token 1 ob 1 ob token 1 devil token that's 11 permanents copy a 1/1 cat, copy a 2/1 cat, copy a 1/1 devil and copy a 3 loyalty non-legendary planeswalker
in mirror energy this boardstate is 100% a win into ramp they either went first and got a turn 4 hasty emrakul (and you have still plenty of stuff to sac to annihilator and just win on swingback) or a wild turn 4 all is dust or even some super unlikely turn 4 wins with titan into this type of board if they were on the draw they just lost immediately mind also that you don't even need to attack with pride ever to get the combo
As a restore balance gamer, opp punted pretty bad. Had you dead should he have saced his lands first with gargadon and used balance from gy rather than casting ancestral...
@@AndreaMengucci good morning! I wanted to get your opinion on Leyline binding in the current modern format. I feel as if it has a lot of valuable targets and just wanted to get your insight?
@@metabolicug522 i think triomes are outdated since they made surveil lands. Every time you re fetching a triome you re giving up on a free consider, and that exchange isnt worth the leyline binding value.
UW Control seems to be able compete across different formats. I know some folks who keep UW control staples and do that. Good stuff.
Especially at the local level
First opponent had no clue what he was doing 😭😭 48 minutes long match
the as foretold deck looks sooooo fun, you should play it for a video mengu
Imagine playing as foretold with isochron scepter...what do u think master mengu?🤔
can confirm, watched this video and enjoyed this video :D
@@garyoak7912 good!
the reasoning for ob in mardu energy is that in matchups like energy mirror or the various ramp decks going ocelot into ajani into ob is basically GG
or at least that's my guess
turn 1 ocelot
turn 2 ajani you get the token and ocelot gets another one
turn 3 you kill ajani token with ob and get a devil token and a non legendary ob token, flip ajani and create another cat and also on copy gains you life
end phase ocelot trigger
3 lands
1 ocelot
2 ocelot tokens
1 ajani pw
1 ajani token
1 ob
1 ob token
1 devil token
that's 11 permanents
copy a 1/1 cat, copy a 2/1 cat, copy a 1/1 devil and copy a 3 loyalty non-legendary planeswalker

Feels weak in the mirror there s an high number of removals and you don t love to sac your creatures to it
It also bypasses the rings protection
Needs Spell Queller
I love control

Buy High Never Sell
How do you feel about lockdown over wrath of the skies with the energy package considering instant speed wrath with teferi?
Not sure , lockdown was good in this leagye
Is it possible to have a competitive control deck without the one ring anymore? I only play paper and refuse to spend $500 on a playset.
Yes check the video called no ring no problem
Damn I’m early
