Thank you for posting! I was there every day during its construction up to completion (my office was right besides it). Such a magnificent and brilliant building that up to now after 30 years, it still stands out. Congrats to HSBC for money well spent and for trusting Sir Norman for his masterpiece .
If you are a fan of Lord Norman Foster, Then, please consider Lord John Browne's (former CEO of BP Energy) book, "Make Think Imagine - Engineering for the Future of Civilization" to read. Mr Foster is extensively quoted in the book.
That's a nice building. It's way more artistic than those boring world trade centers. Probably lots of nice buildings all over Asia from this english artistic architect. Those chinese have really benefited from all the fostering of these english gentlemen. They must have really good financing too. Are they lit up too like Shanghai? That's beautiful work there, like disney world and fantasia combined. That gerkin building in london is sweet. Sweet gerkins, you know in america that's a type of pickle, like a really small pickle. It reminds me of some type of plug, guitar plug? No, ear plug? No, anyway. That's a nice one. Have you heard that song from that music group Foster the People? Something about must of lost your wits. That was a foster song. Well good work here and there and everywhere to be done around the world. LLXIIX77

Grande Norman Foster..!!
Genius. Beautiful masterpiece.
once attended an interview for some private banking position in the building, it was really interesting because it's empty in the middle.
Before 1997, everything seems wonderful in Hong Kong.
More like 2010

It resembles Lloyd's of London. But then what do I know.

They were all good at designing buidlings inclduing many others
2 rail guns on rooftop
Thermocoal and thermokind-F
One of the ugliest building on planet earth! Well done Foster.
@johnnyXx4321 The modern way is to insult those you don't agree with... Shows a lack of compassion and intelligence... Perhaps you are My Angry.
Ooof
Are you blind?
Oh, let me guess. Colonial classical would be your preference?
I think it's one of the most pleasing looking buildings I have ever seen.
