His voice changed because one of the producers they worked with sent him to a amazing vocal coach who taught him to use his natural voice. When we K-armys would go to fan meetings during that time Taehyungie's speaking voice was already smooth, deep and velvety (most men from Dageu have deeper, velvety voices, especially when using Satoori) but when he would sing he raised the pitch of his voice instead of using his natural voice. After the vocal coach worked with him for awhile you could tell a huge difference.
Even if V's voice has changed and has become husky and smoky, I love it even more and it draws me into him and attracts whenever I listen to his voice .

Back then, Bang PD intent to debut them with a pure hiphop concept but korean market isnt as accepting as nowadays to upbeat, hard and cool themed style. So Just One Day was actually their break out from the previous concept, so their looks, vocals, songs and themed got mellowed down a lot. They seem cuter and fitted to the mainstream kpop back then. Even Namjoon and Yoongi also mellowed down here.
