i actually feel bad for shane being put in the position of not wanting to be rude but hearing people genuinely tell (if you're skeptical like me) ridiculous stories that you'd normally laugh at and try not to laugh because the people themselves are perfectly nice and not necessarily deserving of mockery, especially not to their faces

i will say, with sleep paralysis - a whole slew of things can occur. my friend had a sleep paralysis episode where she was being dragged off the bed and remembered having to crawl back onto the bed, and the entire thing felt real, but none of it actually happened. she has had other instances where shes seen and felt her legs being lifted into the air, but none of it actually happened. so i wouldnt be surprised if she thought she saw her dog fly across the room and felt her dogs claws on her chest, but none of it was actually real. sleep paralysis is incredibly complex to describe and understand for someone who does not experience it. but put it this way. you can see and feel EVERYTHING, but the person next to you can see NONE of it happen.
