Although he does take the most damage and lacks knock back because he built around being a Melee character, as well as requiring yourself being on fire to get a good chunk of his buffs, he's so damn fun to play, and his voice lines are even funnier, which you'll hear a lot more of them if you turn off your music, sound effects, and footstep volumes.

Krieg would have been the perfect candidate for a solo movie, leading up to the event that turned him into a Psycho. It would have been But no, instead we got the biggest bomb of a movie that makes Legendary Tediore Grenade mods look like a childrens toy.
Here! BL3 has the perfect plot for a storyline centered on Krieg: A cult full of Psychos, led by a Siren. Krieg is the only character who really had personal goals ("become normal again, find info about his past self, protect Maya, get revenge on Jack for the experiments") beyond the main plot and usual vault hunter stuff the other characters had. But sadly his personal quest was never addressed let alne finished. And after Krieg was added to BL2, Gearbox didn't even add Krieg-specific ECHO recorders to the Wildlife Exploitation Preserve or give Jack any voicelines regarding the fact that Jack should recognize Krieg as the experimental supersoldier/slag mutant who escaped from Hyperion labs. :( Hopefully we will either see Krieg in connection with the Children of the Vault cult (as their mad prophet? to infiltrate it?) or with Maya on Athenas to learn inner calm and self-control, if that planet seen in the E3 trailer is indeed Athenas. But right now from the trailers it looks more like BL3 will focus on the NPCs and the surviving BL1 ex-protagonists _again_ ... why does Lilith have to be central to everything?
Re-watching this because of the film dropping this year. It still baffles me how THIS, a trailer for a content add-on pack remains the best thing written in the Borderlands series outside of Tales from the Borderlands. I hope that Krieg in the film works, because from what I read, he's going to be played similar to Drax from the MCU. I thought we'd get an incoherent character who wouldn't make sense until clever writing and visual storytelling clue us in to his fractured psyche. I would love a moment in the movie similar to the "TURN AROUND PRETTY LADY" but sadly, I don't think we'll get that character.
Roland, Salvador and Kraig were my spirit vault hunters. They helped others realize some of the bad guys want to relax and get some loot at the end of all those days of grinding. It's worth strangling your partner for a laugh or a distraction! Splosions!
Krieg's "psycho poetry" feels very similar to Wernicke Syndrome: Neurological damage to the Wernicke area in the speech center of the brain. People suffering from lesions or a stroke in that area will have trouble selecting the correct words while still being able to form grammatically corrent sentences and speak fluently. They can have trouble understanding others as well, sometimes to the extend that they are not even aware that what they said came out as nonsense. Popular media presentation of Tourette Syndrome (an inborn neurological disorder) is usually wrong. Tourette Syndrome is characterised by neuromuscular and verbal tics, which increase in frequency when the person is stressed: neuromuscular tics include pulling faces, repeatedly wrinkling your nose, repetititve blinking, or making sudden involuntary, repetitive movements, often forced by an obsessive need to move a limb or to touch or punch some thing or someone. Verbal tics are usually temporary and change over time, they can include sudden yelling or obsessively repeating what someone else said; but verbal tics also include non-verbal sounds and vocalization, sudden explamations of nonsense words, coughing, mimiking animal noises. So yeah, Krieg's twitchy movements and sudden yelling of random sentences resemble Tourette Syndrome, but his speech patterns go way beyond that. I know...It really isn't but I think they didn't have a very interesting story of how she got on the train. according to the game she just got on the train like the others.
The biggest problem is not Zero's power output, but the fact that he takes so long to reach those power levels. For example, a friend as a level 15 Krieg is doing more damage control than my lvl 35 Zero. It's not that Zero is bad, but he is just not a good crowd control character. At least not until you get that one ability that allows me to resend a clone out, but still that takes a while. So every other character is running circles around me.
you know looking at this Yeah seems similar. A Monster way beyond the point of no return regains purpose and humanity from coming across a love interest.
Remember when 2K made cool things like this and tried to get them out to as many people as possible instead of accepting bribes to hold off their content for half a year?
I do agree that Krieg is more fun, but because of some of his skills he turns into the most powerful class in the game if you get the right build. but with the melee build for Zer0 I was able to get all the way through the second playthrough on solo...using nothing but a level 23 Captain Blade's Rapier.
Honestly, I thought it would be awesome for a while now if Mainframe (the CG animation company behind Beast Wars and Reboot) made a webseries out of Borderlands, in the style of a kids adventure cartoon, but for us adults. Would be fun.
... and then Borderlands 3 happened. I will never forgive the BL3 writers for what the did to Maya and Krieg, and no, even the BL3 DLC finally featuring Krieg in person was only rubbing it in (and also rewriting everything about how he'd become what he is now that was revealed in tiny bits in BL2 and its DLCs, everything about the connection between Krieg and Dr. Samuels gone).
Finally, the answers on the questions I've been asking since I first saw Krieg. Finally I can stop annoying people with my never ending questions, peace....:P

This is a well done video and one for each vault hunter would be a greater alternative than the audio logs.
His sniper skill tree is beastly though if you can get it up there. Again, Zero works out in the end, but it takes so long to get him that strong.
