I don't think its safe or healthy to peal the geckos shed..
I agree, they do need help sometimes if it gets stuck round toes or noes etc but peeling is not healthy for the gecko as it should eat it’s shed at its own pace
It isn’t, you can end up peeling off it’s healthy part.
When the skin is loose and comes off easily, it's safe. But unnecessary.

My father found a leopard gecko when emptying out a house before putting it for sale. he called the previous people who lived there. They had said that they didn't want it so my dad brought it home. I didn't know how old it was but it was 6 1/2 inches long. Then after 4-5 years he passed. Btw his name was mango the happy gecko.

Dont peel you're leos shed
The one where the person was peeling the leopard geckos shed was terrible they are supposed to shed then eat their shed and it gives them a lot of calcium (idk if it’s with d3 or without d3)
With the peeling of the geckos skin you only do that if it gets stuck n they cant get it.
We had to do that with my gecko ONLY bc we had rescued her n she was having a realy REALY hard time shedding

Put ur hand in the varium then he or she will slowly come onto ur hand
It may take a while but slowly get closer to them not physicaly but like a relationship and let them know your not a threat but a friend if you know what i mean this may take some time so its all about patiance

Probably because no leopard gecko is that shade of purple. Leopard geckos are typically brown, orange, yellow, white, and black (that I know of). Some do have a slight lavender-ish color but it's not at all vibrant. Pretty sure the person in this video edited the gecko's colors to look purple when they really aren't. :)
(I get so annoyed when I see videos like this bc editing what their colors look like online and in videos could really mislead some people if they have never seen a leopard gecko before or something like that)

@@DuskyDoesStuff_ I’m so happy for you! Also, make sure not to stress over him! I see so many new Leo owners stressing over every tiny thing about the gecko, and it just makes it so much harder at first. Just remember you are doing an amazing job, I’m sure skip has a great home!
