I’ve love Renamon though I feel like her evolutions were slightly off. Renamon has always felt op for a rookie and more like a champion level. I honestly could see kyubimon as a perfect while letting Taomon being and alternate mega depending on gender. Sakuyamon is just the best.
Renamon is stealthy, but doesn't have enough firepower. Also the whole digivolution line is the best design there is based on one of the japanese deity (inari). Renamon: a kitsune (messenger of inari) Kyuubimon: a stronger version of kitsune with 9 tails Taomon: even stronger than just a mere youkai, but also a priest Sakuyamon: the goddess Inari herself They were so perfect and sacred that the studio decided not to taint it with 3D animation.
Renamon has a 2nd attack in its base form. The game does give you a clue and we kinda see it sometimes. 'Kohentjo' (prob total spelling fail) but it basically is the 'shadow walk' We see it fuse in and out of the shadows a couple of times. This is how it does that. Its a stealth move to set up powerful atttacks.
There's a reason for it. It's said in Kyuubimon's profile that only those with the most outstanding abilities and who have amassed the most experience can evolve into it. The rest take the Youkomon > Doumon > Kuzuhamon line.
