I'd thought about leaving a comment last night when I heard the first of the submissions by a youth from Texas, I believe, whose teacher encouraged him to write a fiction piece for you to read aloud. Having heard in this video the negative response you received concerning that story, I feel compelled to speak up. I was deeply touched by the recognition you provided this young writer and the encouragement you offered for him to continue practicing and working on his skills. Our young people need that type of encouragement. Our young people need nurture and encouragement from Godly men and women. Thank you for giving to that young man, and to so very many adults, young and old, who have found kindness and compassion here.

Victoria, I had the same thing happen to me, except I’m a guy, and I never turned to look out the window. I would wake up, wide awake for no reason. I’d try to go back to sleep without success. Then I’d hear light tapping on the siding that would work it’s way around the house until just before it got to my window. Then the heavy breathing would start. I felt extreme fear from the minute it started until I couldn’t stand it any more and I’d scream. This started when I was very young, and continued until I was 13. The last time it happened, we had an inside dog, an old English sheepdog, fairly large, he had his head on the carpet in my room, and his belly on the hardwood floor in the hallway. When the tapping got to my sister’s room next to mine, I heard his tag jingle as he raised his head, and just before the breathing started, he whimpered and I heard his feet scraping on the hardwood floor as he backed up into the hallway. It was then I knew for sure something real was doing this, and that I wasn’t dreaming. The breathing outside the window ended when we moved from NC to TN, but I have had other strange events since then. I never read anything or met anyone who had similar encounters. I had a psychologist tell me it might have been a demon- an evil poltergeist. A long time ago Cam read a story about a girl who looked out her window and saw one in a tree watching her at night, but until the internet, and people telling their experiences, I’d never known of anything similar. I can tell you that prayer will help if you end up in a similar circumstance. I had an encounter while camping with a friend, and I prayed because we were there with my friend’s 9 year old son. The night sounds returned, the fear subsided, and I knew they were gone. God can read your mind, so the method Jesus taught about praying to your Father in heaven works without mentioning anything that’s going on. I didn’t even have to say it out loud. Keep that in mind if you have any more experiences. Best wishes!

The parents didn’t listen to her. They didn’t believe her. They should of got her proper curtain’s immediately. This destroyed her childhood. So sad the trauma kids go through and the terrible memories they have to carry through life because their parents don’t believe them.

Yes cam Bigfoot’s have been seen in and around okla city. Last year my son and I were driving around some old country roads pretty far south of okc. Anyway we went down one road and jokingly I said to my son , boy this is Bigfoot country, we laughed and headed home. Anyway about two or three weeks later a prison guard was headed home after finishing his shift ran upon a large hairy ape like creature at the same road section where we had been just a few weeks earlier. I tell you this so you can get an idea how wooded it really is south and east of okc. I can walk in the woods from here to Mississippi and never come out them. Good story Victoria. Thanks Cam.

Great stories 💚 I think bigfoot come closer to cities than people realize sometimes. I had one stare at me through my window, in a neighborhood...right outside DC. They're so stealthy, they can probably go almost anywhere when they want.

I grew up in a DC burb. My best friend's dad grew up in West Virginia. He and others hunted in the woods surrounding our neighborhood. When we were in high school, he told her never go into the woods because "there's something in them". She and I thought it was some teens growing pot or misbehaving in the woods. Alas, 50% of those woods are now houses.

When a little child tells you they have seen something, remember they have not been taught to reason it out. They just tell the truth as they see it. I believe the child saw something and also heard it. If after 50 years she still feels scared. A child does not cry like that unless they are terrified. We seem to poo poo children, but we should pay attention, especially if they are doing something out of the ordinary. The dog confirmed her fears. Her parents just did not know how to fix it.

You are so right about fictional stories, Cam! What a sad world this would be without works of fiction, be it books, movies or art... Creating something that wasn't there before you made it... It's what makes a lot of us happy! Everything we have made as a human race, was first born in someones mind... tools, houses, cars... They wouldn't be here without those first thoughts of: '...what if...'

    Dear SIR::
    Cameron Buckner
The SIR was earned with your narration of this story!
I owned and operated the Lake and Ashtabula County News Network for 4 year s 80 to 84!
I know what I'm Telling you here!
That Narration was perfect! Diction was excellent. Inflections Perfect.
Emotion Outstanding! There was fright in you voice in passages where fright was said by the character. Joy when there was joy. Anger when anger was stated.. AND CRYING when there was Disappointment.
You SIR are in a class of great narrators. Morgan Freemen, James Earl Jones,, and Patrick Stewart!
The choice of MUSIC was outstanding. and TIMED perfectly.
You blew the MIC away, and Did not help my ear phones either.
I started listening at 11:58pm and could not stop until you finished!.
You know when we listened to radio programs,(40s - 50s) where stories were told and only words were the only way to tell the story! Your "A Christmas Carol" was Magical!
THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS> I KNOW YOU HAD SO MUCH FUN DOING THIS; YOU COULD TELL IN YOUR DELIVERY

You've mentioned so many important authors that shaped my childhood and I'm so glad I got to grow up with their incredible tales! Even though they were fiction they all stemmed from seeds of truth and past experiences! JRR Tolkien survived WW1 and so much more yet delivered the best literature I've ever read!

There are a lot of people who view writers as nothing more than liars. I've written my entire life - short stories, poetry, novels, essays, commentaries, and reviews. For me writing isn't just something I love to do, it's how I maintain my sanity in an insane world. I don't claim to be talented, and I'm certainly not published. But I do write. Years ago, I was speaking with a niece who was gushing about a particular poem I had written and that she liked very much. Suddenly, quite conspiratorially, she leaned in and said, "I write, too." I was so proud for just a moment. Then she added, "I don't show anybody my writing, though, because of how Mom and Dad think of it." It turns out that my entire family (multiple siblings, in-laws, parents, aunts, uncles and a plethora of nieces and nephews) all view me as nothing but a liar for making up all those tales. I had always considered it odd that, despite the high opinion others might have of me, my own family always looked down on me. So you see, Cam, there are a lot of people in this world who cannot separate in their minds the difference between a story and a lie. You just have to make up your mind within your own heart, and leave the others to their consciences.

I hope some day to have something worthy of publishing. When I do, I promise I will let everyone know. Meanwhile, I fully enjoy helping others self publish their works. This includes my husband, who an amazing writer.

I had an Encounter once, and it blew my mind that somebody wrote. They had one too, in the Okefenokee swamp at the exact, same place that I had only been to once, and he mentioned the exact same thing your channel that I went by and the old car on the island and exactly where I saw and heard something that changed my life and excited me I heard a gentleman talking about almost my same encounter on the show and it blew my mind and confirm that I was not crazy.

Hi Cam! In reference to the Steve Lilly journals. Those stories are more interesting and fun to listen to than most anything on TH-cam! I think you said you are the writer. If so, you are an excellent writer and, you have a special talent. Steve Lilly could easily be a movie, a TV series and you could write books of his adventures. That whole storyline has endless ways it can go. Get a publisher to read the manuscripts. I’m not kidding. We love your channel and Steve Lilly in Chicago!

Those knocks that sounded like someone hammering a nail is what I heard last week. There r houses on that hill but its heavy with forest there. I just thought it was someone constructing something but heard the exact way that guy described. Funny thing is, there wasn't the echo that u would have if it was metal hit metal or wood. So this perked my ears. Ive done carpentry off and on since I was a kid. U get to know the sounds of who was working on what. Im glad I listened to this.

I don't think anybody knows enough in this subject to be deciding what's fiction and what isn't. Science fiction all too often becomes legitimate research, and eventually science fact. Not everything turns out to be true, but moreover at this point anything could be true.
