Eric Prochnow If you’d like to help (as a suggest-or/adviser) Id appreciate it. I’m doing FrameBlend next, in your production experience what is that used for besides fake motion blur on re-time and removing rain/snow? I know there are refraining techniques and I can’t recall what FXPHD tutorial used it, think it was that vortex machine tutorial. I’ll give you a thanks/shoutout.
Great series idea, looking forward to more. Time echo one should be good. Always wanted to know how to use the ‘Convolve’ tool too if you get round to it
Hello Matt , i have a quick question regarding tracking and green screen, so i placed some marker on a blue screen footage i shot and i want to add 3d elements ( like trees), two characters are in front of the blue screen however the shot is a plane slide, i cant seem to track a 3d camera for it because the motion is only planar.( camera is gliding on a slider in a single direction ) problem with after effects and other 2d tracking software is that i cant export the camera data to maya which is where im adding the 3d elements. any thoughts ? ( nuke seem to do an ok job but the camera created isnt that accurate )
Younis Atwi There’s an option in the 3D Camera tracker for planar. Could try that. I’m guessing you don’t have enough foreground and background objects for proper parallax assessment by the tracker.
madlookz VFX I’m assuming one is automated for multiple input sequences dissolve sequential playback and the other is just manually doing it via keyframes or blending multi frames together. I’m getting to that node soon.
Love the idea of the „know the nodes“ series 👍🏼 keep up the great work sir !

Matt... I have a question to you...can you tell me what's the difference between appendclip and blend node?
