This is a commonly asked question related to the PRP procedure. While answering this question, Dr John Watts said that ideally to get results with the PRP procedure one needs to undergo at least 6-8 sessions.
However, one should not expect optimal hair growth results with PRP as the procedure is useful for those facing normal hair fall, normal hair thinning and low growth issues.
“We usually wait and monitor for 2-4 months to see the growth after 6-8 sessions of PRP. If there are no significant results, we recommend a booster PRP session after 4-6 months. During this time, one may need to continue the hair medication,” informed Dr John Watts.
FAQ 2: Is the PRP procedure useful for both males and females? Please explain.
This is another commonly asked FAQ about the PRP procedure. While responding to this query, Dr John Watts said that the PRP procedure is useful for both males and females dealing with normal hair loss, hair thinning and low hair growth problems.
“In such conditions, the results are equal for both males and females if PRP sessions are undertaken,” informed Dr John Watts.
However, he pointed out that PRP sessions are no answer for baldness problems as they won’t be effective in such a situation.
FAQ 3: How long one needs to wait to get hair growth results from the PRP procedure? Please explain.
This is another commonly asked FAQ about PRP. While answering this query, Dr John Watts said that one may see results from the third PRP session onwards.
“Usually, there is a 20-day gap between the first and second session. It means one has to wait at least one-and-a-half month to two months to notice visible results in the form of baby hair growth,” said Dr John.
