Back in 2010, I was introduced to KPop. I then dabbled a little into Korean dramas. The only one I ever really liked was “My Girlfriend is a Gumiho”, due to my fascination with the supernatural aspects of it. I then fell out of keeping up with Korean show business for a four years before getting back into KPop in 2016. For the past 5 years, I only listened to KPop. Then I came across “Every Moment of You” by Sung Si Kyung earlier this year. Even though I didn’t read the English translation initially, the emotion that he sang the song with really resonated with me. Once I did read the English translation and saw the music video for its associated Korean drama, I just had to start watching. I have enjoyed watching 별에서 온 그대 so much. It meets the supernatural element that I liked in “My Girlfriend is a Gumiho” but also has its own unique charm and creativity. It has definitely reinvigorated my interest in watching Korean dramas. With just one song, my whole outlook on Korean dramas changed. That’s the mark of an amazing singer. Thank you Sung Si Kyung for the inspiration and for continuing to sing this song for both new and old fans to enjoy and create new memories!
