Great video! Rewatching to do my mid controls. Note for others: seems like you don't need to take whole exhaust off, just the tailpipe.

You might be the ONLY video online depicting how to do this on an ironhead sportster. Thank you!!

This must've been a lot of work (both the installs, video, editing). Fantastic work though all around, I almost panicked when you started lifting the sportster with that make shift jack lol.

I picked these ones up from a facebook marketplace post. I know Sporty Parts sells new sets though.

Just bought a 2003 xl1200c. Love the bike!
Your mid controls with forward pegs as highway pegs was an idea I had aswell!!
How do you like the mid controls?

I actually really enjoy them! The more planted "ergonomic" seated position definitely helps my back. Only downside I've noticed is on technical mountain roads I tense up more and get cramps in my muscles from it, but that's probably not a common theme, just my body sucking haha

I hate to say but your splitting the lanes at the stoplight is one of the things that gives bikers such a bad name, and all you did was make yourself look entitled. I have been riding for 40 + years and have never done something this foolish. Your teaching the next generation of bike riders a bad habit. If you want to have bad riding habits don’t put them in your videos to show new riders how to be idiots.

I'm sorry that you're just factually incorrect. The places that allow lane splitting started to allow it because it's safer and it helps traffic. Every place where it is legal the safest most basic version is splitting while cars are at a stop at a stoplight.
You sound like the people who put bikers lives in danger thinking we're trying to disrespect or look cool. I don't want to be parked behind a car at a light, get rear ended, and become a pancake. I don't care how long you've been riding, educate yourself.

@@ZozzerRidez Correct. Lane splitting is safe when done right and is legal the world over plus California. Not sure why the US ex-CA has this silly no-split rule.
