BIG Chi & $RC alwayz get the most with less the Best. How you ask? Well.... look @ how wicked fast they 25-8 on any surface. Its like they have a toggle switch doubles as a gofast/eternally mode. And when this switch is engaged in the GTO & S10. Now it turnt all the way up it also triggers the "we brake less'r" n chit then anything on 4 wheels next to me n such. It bothers me the fact that it don't seem like he get along with the 405 guys.. Even at Americas list it seemed like he child with other groups more then the 405 guys. People on here always acting like chief changed but he seems the same person he's always been.. I almost wonder if a lot of the people from 405 are jealous or mad that hes just way better them them. Always been a Pontiac fan. I have a 69 Firebird and a 77 trans am myself. I really like how you have stuck with the Pontiac this long. I know there will be a time you have to go bigger or go home. Your doing what you love. Everyone has to respect that. I may have to hit up Butler to do a small 428.

It's hard to argue with Chief and why he doesn't get away from the Pontiac for another combo. He is constantly at the top with that combo. Everyone else on the show has gone through multiple different engines and combos to basically just try and knock Chief off the top. Like he said he has beat every other combo out there at one time or another. I think his consistency comes from know his combo inside and out. It's impressive as hell what he does with a fucking Pontiac!!

We are about to be 60 yrs old which sounds funny for my brain to think that, and we want to do a first ever "Road Trip" to Oklahoma in our GTO and Roadrunner and "do the circuit" stopping by the different shops y'all run. To be honest my husband and I love Chief cause he works with what he has, he doesn’t just keep buying new engines to have “whatever is new”. That’s what makes him a genuine in my eyes cause if something works then don’t change it to much. You and Jackie are a match made in Heaven we are really glad that you two enjoy doing the same things together. I like the way you think about engineering your program. It's not about doing what everyone is, it's about being smarter and doing your own thing and being good at it. It's like buying a motorcycle, or gun, everyone says get an HD or Glock; but their are tons of other options that work just as well if not better than those options. I look forward to seeing how both cars do.

He is the one of the smartest guys in the group, if he thought he needed a Hemi to keep up, he would do it. But he knows the limitations become the cars they are using, not peak HP. He also made a living out of "street" racing. All of our dreams come true! Brilliant

He’s back gassing the header pipes as he welds them. Running two Argon hoses, one for the torch and the other inside the header tube to keep both sides of the weld covered until it cools.
Hes purging the lines to prevent sugaring from the inside which would restrict airflow. Kinda like sanitary welding. Dude looks like a damn good welder. I'd much h rather do that than weld food processing lines

Most of the people making the comments about buying a Hemi or a 481x are driving a 6cyl car making 92 HP. My background is in the competition firearms industry (mostly 3gun competition), and the truth is, the guys who win on a regular basis could all swap gear with anybody at a match and be in the top 10 again within a month. The key to winning is understanding YOUR setup, and running it A LOT. I agree with Chief 100% on why he runs the engine he does. And not just because I have a Poncho motor in my Trans Am ;)

Getting to know your setup and optimizing what you have is the most important thing. Making lots of laps as you said is key.

To be honest my husband and I love Chief cause he works with what he has, he doesn’t just keep buying new engines to have “whatever is new”. That’s what makes him a genuine in my eyes cause if something works then don’t change it to much.
You and Jackie are a match made in Heaven we are really glad that you two enjoy doing the same things together. Not enough couples have that these days and I feel like that’s why a lot of couples don’t work out these days.

I like the way you think about engineering your program. It's not about doing what everyone is, it's about being smarter and doing your own thing and being good at it.
It's like buying a motorcycle, or gun, everyone says get an HD or Glock; but their are tons of other options that work just as well if not better than those options.

He’s back gassing the header pipes as he welds them. Running two Argon hoses, one for the torch and the other inside the header tube to keep both sides of the weld covered until it cools.
Hes purging the lines to prevent sugaring from the inside which would restrict airflow. Kinda like sanitary welding. Dude looks like a damn good welder. I'd much h rather do that than weld food processing lines

Most of the people making the comments about buying a Hemi or a 481x are driving a 6cyl car making 92 HP. My background is in the competition firearms industry (mostly 3gun competition), and the truth is, the guys who win on a regular basis could all swap gear with anybody at a match and be in the top 10 again within a month. The key to winning is understanding YOUR setup, and running it A LOT. I agree with Chief 100% on why he runs the engine he does. And not just because I have a Poncho motor in my Trans Am ;)
