just observed and sketched m44 with just a 76mm dobson, in a very light polluted area. it still was an enchanting sight. the more you look at it, the more you appreciate such an incomprehensibly big masterpiece of whatever created the universe.
Just came out from watching the Beehive cluster (09-04-2017) with my 15x70 binocs. Noticed the form of it and confirmed with Stellarium. On a side note, Jupiter was very bright and I finally saw the 4 moons aligned. I'm happy with tonights viewing. Man it must be cool if the sky was black instead of dark and light blue.
thanks for helping me find the beehive cluster!!! (hint: use Pollux go all the way to east and if you see multiple stars you found the beehive cluster)
What is the software that allows you to click on a star and drag to another, determining the degrees from each other? Also it looks like the software provides information, such as light intensity, of each star you click on.
Very good video !! I will try my best to locate M-67 . Do you think I can locate it with a 6 inch telescope ? Our area is light polluted that's why I doubt . . .

Sounds like a plan for a clear night. I had nice view of Jupiter yesterday - even red spot.

+Chaitanya Paranjape M67 has a somewhat low surface brightness, so with a lot of light pollution, it may be hard to see. Do give it a try though!
Go AWB! I have their OneSky telescope, and I love it.
