I made a big boo boo! I only bought 1 pair of the socks I used to make this and didn’t realize I needed two pairs! I forgot I had bought 2 pairs the first time I made him now I can’t get the socks! I just got an order for him too! I was halfway through making him. I’m just sick! Oh well I’ll check my supplies next time. Just needed to vent. Thanks!

one question where do you get the cork. i got the patterns and ill watch you shows 2 help. im watching duane and he so different from you.he said where i could get a few things. he is like you and about caring about us learning 2 do whatever we want . im 2 old 2 do that but my family will like my gnomes. thank you 4 your help. yes you are number one.
Tami, you can use a knee sock, but you will need to hem up one end of it so it does not ravel. The felt is to cover the white fabric so that if you use a thinner sock you won't see through to the white. If you have a thick sock, you can skip that step.

You can make a hunting hat like the safari hat I made buy instead of the brim, use the brim from the pool gnome I did. Both videos are on my channel. I would make an outfit like the one I did on my Tactical gnome. For the bow, I would cut it out of craft foam and make several layers and glue the layers together to make it more solid. You can also take a strip of craft foam to run down the edge to cover the layers. You may find a toy bow in the doll section at walmart or target? Thanks, Patti
Loved this reindeer gnome. I’m gonna make one when I can find my leggings. I keep checking dollar tree. Can you tell me how to keep the felt clean from hot glue? Is it the small tip on your glue gun? I bought a new glue gun and didn’t realize it had a big tip and I got it all over everything. So I went back to my mini glue gun. Thanks for your help and awesome tutorials!
Thanks Cathy. I use very little hot glue when working with felt and I use the surebonder mini glue gun for everything. I cannot use a full size glue gun without making a mess. This is the one I swear by. amzn.to/3a2kbIu
