Baratang Island is an island of the Andaman Islands. It belongs to the North and Middle Andaman administrative district, part of the Indian union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.[5] The island lies 150 km (93 mi) north of Port Blair.
Jarawa is a major tribe of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands . These people have been living in the Andaman Islands for thousands of years. The people of the Jarawa tribe are nomadic tribes who hunt and gather. Some special things about the Jarawa tribe:
The people of the Jarawa tribe are black in colour and are short in height.
The people of the Jarawa tribe hunt with bows and arrows.
The people of the Jarawa tribe collect fruits, tubers, and honey from the forest.
People of the Jarawa tribe also eat seafood.
The people of the Jarawa tribe make temporary huts in their camps.
The Jarawa tribe uses crude rafts to cross creeks and streams.
The people of the Jarawa tribe are proud of their health.
The people of the Jarawa tribe get monthly allowance from the Government of India.
Separate wards have been created in primary health centres for the people of the Jarawa tribe

Limestone Caves - from the jetty point we trek 1.2 km to reach the Limestone caves with our guide Rakesh Ji.
Mud Volcano - After visiting limestone caves, we headed to see Mud Volcano. We hired a taxi and travelled 10 km from Baratang.
