      I think you should watch videos where Spanish is spoken frequently, such as vlogs.. that's what I'm going to do after I finish these basic lessons and I think if you watch someone speak Spanish regularly, you'll get used to using confusing forms correctly

      +Ajitabh Awasthi If we go with that logic then - What is your name? should also be 'Que es tu nombre?' as the person would have one name... Does anyone have a better explanation for why are we using Que instead of Cual in 'What does your father do?' translation?

    • @justraphael6653
      @justraphael6653 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shivangi Srivastava Because name don't have any definition. When someone ask your name they are not seeking the definition of your name. E.g. shivangi may have some definition but nobody is interested in knowing that when they ask your name. But when you ask someone their profession you are seeking the definition (medico is self defining).

    Considero que hay un error en "Ustedes" y "Vosotros", ya que Ustedes es de carácter informal y Vosotros es formal. Espero lo consideren.

    • @MECANICACL
      @MECANICACL 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Heidy Sánchez Rosario El error está en decir que una manera es formal y que la otra no. Usted (Ud.), equivale a Vos. Ustedes (Uds.) equivale a vosotros. Vosotros y vos corresponden a las forma más antigua de tratamiento, y que todavía se usa corrientemente en España en lugar de usted. o ustedes; en tanto que "usted" y "ustedes" es el modo moderno de mayor uso en América. El uso de vos y vosotros se denomina voceo, y las frases y oraciones deben concordar en todo, ejemplos: Vosotros sabréis lo que tenéis que hacer. A vosotras os corresponde decidir si comeréis pescado o carne de res y si beberéis licor o agua. De la misma manera sucede en el uso de usted y ustedes, ejemplos: Ud. tendrá sus preferencias, por lo tanto decida según le apetezca el pescado o la carne de res. Ustedes son los dueños de sus vidas. Ustedes son unos delincuentes. Vosotros sois unos delincuentes. Vos, su majestad, debéis comprender. Udtedes los niños, a correr y a divertirse. Vosotros los niños, a correr y a divertiros. Niños, divertíos todo lo que queráis. Niños, diviértanse todo lo que quieran. Etc.. Saludos.

      You've probably figured this out by yourself, but i'd assume it's as this language which is pretty old fashioned (female and male words ?) used it as a phrase to determine what the breadwinner of ones family did, which would dictate their social class, general standing in society and future prospects.
