Hi Patricia. We were recommended it by some friends of ours. To be honest we hadn't heard of it until they told us but so glad they did. It was a great day.
Hi Jools. Thank you so much for your kind comments and support. We try to just be us and we are loving what we are doing. So glad that comes across in the videos.
awesome video :) thanks for sharing :) wow looks amazing :) weve actually cancelled our march RCCL cruise to airlie beach and rebooked for 5 nights in cairns (and im going to book 2 nights in port douglas) and reschedule a cruise for 2025 :) this would be a really interesting place to visit :) can you get here by public transport or a group tour from cairns at all?
Hi Deb. We have just looked at the RCI March cruise but by the time we costed the fare and onboard spending at USD prices it just worked out too much. Paronella Park is brilliant and well worth a visit. I would imagine there is some sort of public transport but, to be honest, don't really know. We hired a car for the day from Jucy which was really inexpensive and just drove there. Some of the tour companies may do it, definitely worth a look.
@@robandalicruisetravel we didn't end up cancelling the Airlie cruise on RCCL so are still going to go :) we have virgin in Dec, the RCCL in march 2024, an 80s cruise on pacific explorer from Melbourne in Nov 2024 and are now looking at an islands cruise on carnival splendor for April 2025 :) we found a deal for the carnival cruise for 8 nights to the islands in an inside cabin for just over 400 dollars each :) plus port fees and taxes :) its 1172 for us both for that cruise so really considering booking it as well :)
@@robandalicruisetravel I got my scan results back today and my cancer has not spred yay :) it's isolated in the one area in my right calf. So they will operate in a few weeks. So great news :)
We swam there in 2000. Last went there in 2019, when I was staying in Innisfail. It's a long way from Cairns, I'd rather go to Grey Barrier Reef or Butterflies at Kuranda. On 13th we're going to do Zoo, Eye, Lagoon and Dinner.
Hi Andy. We've done the reef a couple of times and it is certainly worth doing but a friend recommended Paronella Park and as we were in Cairns for 2 days we hired a car and did that. Also did River Tubing and we are yet to put that video up. Probably later this week whilst we are away on the Luminosa.
Thanks so much for sharing your info ! Inspired me to look into self driving around Cairns as i cant walk too far in the heat - did you just hire for the day, or is there a place to park it overnight near the cruise ship? Thanks in advance.
Hi Jules. We hired the car for a day from Jucy Rentals at Portsmith which is just about a 10 minute walk from the cruise terminal. Apart from being close it was one of the most cost effective places to hire from and a lovely clean car. Hope this helps.
@@robandalicruisetravel thank you for the inspiration! We got a car at 11am and used it in the afternoon and then the next morning, and found that there is a $5 per 24hr council car park just across the road from the cruise terminal : ) we had a great time !
Visited years ago. It was a magical place. Well worth visiting.

I love how much fun and adventure you have, you soak up your environment and pass it on. Thanks, very informative.

Haha, it is addictive isn't it. Just enjoy while the prices are affordable we say.
