The imagery of the song is absolutely exquisite. It's extremely thematic and defiant and beautiful all at the same time. The grandeur of the Palace holds the emperor hostage reflecting her back into his eyes and he can't escape it no matter where he looks. His own wealth and his own splendor sings with her. His own power and his own majesty dances with her. It's such a small moment but it's such splendid cinematography. It's an interesting and beautiful way to show the reversal of power. Bravo.

Also want to explain a bit, the reflection part starts at the lyrics "chaaro taraf hain unka nazara" meaning "the view/beauty can be seen from any direction", hence the use of mirrors to reflect HER dancing and defiance at the Emperor from all directions. "Parda nahin jab koi khudha se, bando ke aage darna kya" means "When there are no secrets from God, why should we fear our fellows?", and yet again the scene goes to the mirrors, showing that her defiance and her love is indeed out in the open for everyone to see, from all directions (and of course, she's the courtesan for the Emperor, already a very public stage).
