Why the hell didn't nitrO and EliGE double-pick coldzera? What is wrong with their teamwork? Liquid played so badly today. On Inferno they made so many stupid pushes into bomb sites that it almost looked like Liquid was bringing their players on a platter for FaZe to pick up. Liquid just got destroyed by FaZe.

well stewie and nitro peeked together, but cold was at a shallower angle, stew actually wallbanged cold, it was an inch of death here. I don't think we can criticize them for that, it's a 3v1, he's pinned down, we have an awp, he shouldn't be able to do that, but that's why he was the best player for two consecutive years. And I think it all came to psychological stress, nothing they tried on inferno worked, Faze had SO MANY DIFFERENT looks on their first half it was impossible to keep track.
It was a deep angle, and they were 2 second apart from eachother.
Nitro couldn't wait, it would be a suicide if he waited for it. Cold could peak easily and get Nitro because of waiting for double peak.
And BTW, time was running out. 15 or fewer seconds were remaining, and they had no kit. Stewie couldn't get into an AWP battle for it

-Olof was mollied off on cubby and NOBODY peaked him, letting him get away

unreal, liquid has four of the best players in the world and are getting slammed by a lower tier team

Olof was the best player of 2015,cold was the best in 2016 and 2017, niko has been in top 20 for more than 4 years, rain is one of the most consistent player of all time. Broky is slamming everyone hard too. The problem with faze was the roster changes every now and then so players couldn't adjust to their roles soon. Now, there is Co ordination within them. So, they will rock a few more matches I believe and if they get upto Astralis level of coordination. Then it's done, no team can beat faze

I'm a huge casual and still learning about the CS scene but I watched liquid all throughout 2019 (around June onwards) say "not enough rest, too much practice". Now they are saying the same thing again in 2020 except this time they HAVE had enough rest and still have these dogshit games. Again I'm probably wrong but there's a point where clearly something else is the problem.
they don't have an ingame leader nor an awper, and are too afraid of giving up team cohesion/chemistry to pick up a better IGL or a good dedicated awper. And even though they speak english, they´re native english speakers they need someone with a pretty good english to not mess up in game comms, there are not many players at tier 1 level that can do that, my top two picks would be Cerq and Guardian (his english is dece, but his playing speaks for itself). But there's also the problem of relocating an EU player to NA, which can be devastating individually and not even S1mple (second best player in the world in 2019) was able to keep it up (he played for liquid in the past). So Liquid and faze have the same issue: Lack of a good IGL that fits the team style of playing and lack of an awper, Liquid manages by playing really tight and correctly, Faze looks like they have a huuuuuge playbook this year and have 0 positional problems within the team.
