There are many legendary Pokémon in the Pokémon universe, but which of those legendary Pokémon are Legendary Pokémon. I thought that Zorark was legendary because the first time I ever saw it was in a Pokémon card that was 4x the size of a normal Pokémon card. Why would a regular Pokémon get that treatment, I thought, surely it must be legendary?
I remember that card. It literally had 1000 HP 😂 or it was an 1000 damage attack, I don't remember it's been a long time

Also, in a Gen 4 encyclopedia based on the anime, Legendaries and Mythical's have stars behind them. Lucario and Rotom, despite not being Legendaries or Mythicals, also have these stars
When Lucario’s design was released back in the day, we all assumed it was legendary because it was the few early leaked Pokémon.

One pokemon I thought was legendary is Castform. Especially when 3gen game first release since it is a heavy weather based storyline and it was given to you by a professor.

Before I really got into Pokémon and understood what anything was, I thought any Pokémon that didn't evolve was a legendary. Luckily, I figured it out pretty quickly once I started playing the games.

@@georgechan8330 That _was_ the case til Sun and Moon, where Lunal and Solgaleo are split endings of a three-stage line, and then there's Kubfu in Sword and Shield, who *also* has two possible evolutions (and shouldn't really be Legendary).

So while referring to a pokemon that is NOT gender-locked, you should call them a "it"

Rotom is the one that got me. I really thought it was legendary, but I cannot for the life of me remember why. May have been the music thing. I also grew up not knowing the distinction between mythical and legendary, and I've come to realize that while it exists, it is a pointless distinction.

I feel like in Unknowns case it's like they're the building blocks of the universe. And might be a slight nod to coding? That's a stretch but still. Plus they are psychic, which is used as the cosmic element in a few ways.

games have to be more balanced unfortunately, otherwise arceus would probably break the game.
@@Rose333X box legendarys and mythicals are not made with balance in mind because they are banned in official tournaments anyways, so Arceus in games is as strong as it's meant to be rather than made that for balance reasons...

The first time I played through pokemon Y and encountered a sigylith i instantly thought "yep, thats a legendary pokemon" it just looks so mysterious. The funny thing was i told my mum look at this pokemon its a legendary with full confidence

If Gamefreak consistently introduced BIG STRONG SCARY Mythical pokemon, I bet a lot of people would shut up. Just because Mythical pokemon mostly consists of cute pokemon doesn't mean they're weaker than legendaries especially when it comes to lore.

I used to think Unown was legendary because in Leaf Green and Fire Red, there was a category of "rare Pokemon" and Unown was in it.
Well of course people thought riolu and lucario were both legendary. I don’t remember when they first appear but in black version two at the beginning farm area you can easily encounter a riolu.
