The Keyboard uses Nearlink and the Mpencil 3rd generation also uses Nearlink technology. This tablet still can use Bluetooth . You can buy another keyboard (from another brand) that uses bluetooth and you can use it with the matepad 12.2. You can also buy another pencil (or the 2nd generation huawei Mpencil) and use it with the matepad. However the matepad 12.2 keyboard does not support Bluetooth but Nearlink. In the near-future I read that Huawei freebuds will also support Nearlink technology to connect with the new matepads. Nearlink technology is also present in the Huawei Pura70 pro, but it's not present in the Pura70 basic model. Huawei wants Nearlink technology to be present in high-end devices.
