We are the Foreign Communities of Alba Association, a registered Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organization (SCIO) with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) under the registration number SC052771. Our mission revolves around Sports, Recreation, Integration, and Removing Social Isolation. Based in West Lothian, Falkirk, and North Lanarkshire councils in Scotland, we aim to create a positive impact in our communities.
🤝 Our Story:
In late 2021, faced with a lack of sports activities for the Polish community in Falkirk, Bathgate, and Whitburn, five of our founders took matters into their own hands. Battling depression and overcoming addiction histories, they initiated a football group. The success was not only in the realm of sports but also in fostering social connections. Families met, friendships blossomed, and a sense of community was born.
🌱 Our Growth:
Today, we proudly stand as a vibrant community with approximately 300 members. We conduct three football training sessions weekly, boast a thriving hiking group, and provide numerous volunteering opportunities. Our journey has been marked by social and charitable events, creating a positive impact on the lives of our members.
💪 Our Vision:
But we don't stop there! Our plans include the establishment of a bicycling group, DIY group, chess group, a community house, a women's football section, and more. Through these initiatives, we aim to further enhance the well-being of our members and contribute positively to the broader community.

Beyond sports and recreation, our association has successfully integrated with the local community, breaking down cultural barriers, and alleviating feelings of loneliness. In some instances, this integration has even led to improved job opportunities for our members.
