If there is one thing we as Americans can take pride in when it comes to our vehicles. Build quality might not be our strong suit but you can't deny that the sound of a supercharger whine under power sounds so sexy!
Modern American muscle cars are competitive in corners too. Lovely all rounders with powerful engines. Just robust and masculine looking. I say this as a non American.
@@HSGAutomotiveyeah I know how that Brits love to joke on them. Richard Hammond got abused about it for years lol. If you're ever in the States look me up. I'll let you take my Chevy SS for a test drive. It's essentially a rebadged Commodore with a slightly detuned LS.
This car is freaking great. I'm impressed an American non supercar can reach over 200 MPH. It's a gorgeous car as well. I hope that maybe in the next update they'll make it to where you can put a Demon engine into a 1970 Challenger or a Super Bee.
Being a Dodge nerd, I put the most miles into this car so far out of this update pack. As fun as it is however, I still wish it was the regular Hellcat or even the 392 Hemi so that we can make more variants of the same car ourselves. Because as it is, detuning the Challenger to a lower level spec doesn't remove the unique supercharger whine. Still, I'm glad that we got more Dodges at all.
Modern SRT8 have a 6.4 not a 6.1, 6.1 came in earlier models. RT's are 5.7, Scatpacks are 6.4 and hellcats and above are 6.2 Supercharged. Now we need the 170 😁
I find it funny how GT always achieves to make me appreciate cars more than before. Before the update i didn't care about this Challenger at all same goes for the Model 3.
See I'd have loved to have the SRT8 rather than the fastest of the fastest variant all of the time. That is one of the things I loved about older GT games, pre-HD interior, where you got a couple or more engine/trim variants of a model so you could enjoy the lower end ones that you were perhaps more likely to actually own IRL. Great review again.
It's so heavy, normally my style is more less HP less weight but better handling, I really enjoy the Megane RS for example, but this vehicle is unique, the sound of the Demon is crazy and it performs well in-game
I drove a Challenger Redeye on track at a driving school for two days and was incredibly impressed at its handling capabilities on decent tires. Expected an understeery boat and was surprised to have been wrong. Really glad this car made the update, it's awesome.
I used this car for 2 Clubman plus races with racing hard tires and a low-end torque supercharger, and it beats every rivals. The supercharger whining blew me away as well.
Alright I'm gonna say this, the idea that Challengers can't turn, or that they don't belong on a road course track, is exaggerated. I personally own a 2016 R/T 392 and I do track days with it. Can check my channel if you don't believe me. Is it the best-handling car ever made? No. And it certainly is heavy. But nowadays, a lot of cars have gotten really heavy. You just need to have reasonable expectations. It's not a Ferrari 458. But the Challenger still has fully independent 5 link IRS, and a true upper control arm setup in the front with dual lower ball joints. It makes for a very stable chassis that holds a tire contact patch very well. You might not set lap records with it, but it is a competent handler. you can certainly go fast and have a great time. I for one am very happy they've added it to the game. I love these cars and what they can do.
Being a dodge fan, it's my favorite car ever (after the new demon 170 ) being waiting for this car since the leaked list went on, but it was worth the wait cause they literally nailed it! The sound the shape it's literally superior compared to other racing games
It drives pretty good. I ran some laps at Big Willow and later ran the Huayra with a comparable tune. About the same weight but the Demon had a few hundred more horsepower. The Demon was nearly 2 seconds faster for me. It’s a track I’m pretty good at. The Demon had only 40 more PP. That wasn’t the result I was expecting. I think it could beat some Porsches maybe.
My only problem with it is that it doesn’t accelerate as fast as the real one, especially from 0-60, but other than that they did a great job on this car!
I noticed your throttle moves very quickly. I play on a controller and the throttle has quite a delay when it comes to going from 0% to 100%. Is this an adjustable setting?
@@benniebullock3301 Have you figured out a workaround for the terrible fuel milage of a street legal dragster essentially? If there's anything that a muscle car like that is bad at it's fuel milage lol
So nice to finally have a modern Dodge Challenger in this game! They picked the best version too in my opinion! Such an awesome car! 😊👍
Nah the best version is the just released last edition which is the 170 over 1000hp one
The Supercharger whine is enough to convince me. It actually sounds like a Demon!
Wasn't thinking of buying it, but you had me at "drivable cartoon".

Brits make plenty of jokes about them, but I’ve had four American cars in a row now and every one of them puts a smile on peoples faces 👌

@@zarakdurrani7584I appreciate that. Yeah we're finially coming around to the concept of corners lol.

The demon was definitely the star of the update.
I am glad they did go with demon as its my favorite challanger of all time

When you said ZL1 or GT350 style. I have made a livery and a tune to make the demon like a Challenger ACR build. And it does well.
Welcome to 2025 where HSG has introduced the Challenger ACR as a Special Project
I know ^~^.

The upgraded wide body and aero makes it corner like a race car. I use it at the 800pp level🔥
Staying front of F50 was awesome lol
My favorite car! Ever since the list said the demon was coming, I was excited to see it now, and I love the supercharger whine 🎶 to my ears.
I find your video's so comforting
Only matter of times when SRT challenger 170 demon release in either this game or GT8, the final challenger.
My favorite cat in the last update is the Porsche, but the Demon is my top modern American car.
I like it tuned stock with medium racing tires (high 600’s) and race it in the hyper car races….pretty fun
I am really hoping they add the c8 z06 and c8 gt3 car soon!

Have mine all the way up to 819 pp. Fkn fantastic car

It might be in settings, or could be an issue with the controller trigger
I never see you in the Lobby's for on line racing. You hot a lot of apex's though
Take it on route x
I've been using it for the Gr4 Lemans 30 min grind
A car like this would be too thirsty on fuel to make it a viable contender for Le Mans lol
@@TheSilverShadow17 I'm actually using it for the lemans race.

If I buy ps5 will my current ps4 game progess transfer over to pa5?
Yes
The stock is fun around the Nurburgring if you’re good enough not to touch grass you’re good to go it’s solid 🤌
