Here's one! The road flare if placed in a fireplace outside, will keep it lit even in the wind. I haven't tested rain yet but it would be interesting
I logically knew a good some of these to some capacity but for all my hours I did not know you could just make a knife by grabbing a small stone and instead of combining it with another one just go over to a rock an beat it on the rock. See this is what I get for overthinking things I don't need two rocks, just bring the rock to a much larger rock.

You can carry 4 gun with a full inventory the 3rd will be hidden an can have a 4th in your hands you can switch between
TOP TIP: When playing at night time and getting rushed in a building, turn on a flashlight and place looking towards the door then sit in the opposite corner. 9/10 they will look at the area behind the flashlight first.

@mo no you have to do it when its pitch black but trust me nothing will go wrong bro as long as u stay to the side and back from the torch. The light intensity blinds whoever comes through the door 🚪
Crafting the bone knives from "sharpening" the bones against a rock is simply an excellent concept.

Yeah they need to let you open canned goods the same way. If I take a can and rub the top on cement or a stone surface long enough the edge will wear down, and I can open the can IRL.

Omg u are joking ,?? Do u not use other logic in the game ? I'm guessing u only younger gamer ?? Or never stood beside a tree in the rain ?? Tho in real life its doubtful it would block a fire enough to burn.. lol

Also if you cut the tree down on top of the fire it blocks the smoke so nobody can see you

Bonussss tip!! You can hide in a bush when an infected is looking for you (before going aggressive) and they won't see you even if looking right at you.

" Stealth " zombie agro, fishing times, pots/fat and bone knives from rocks. No idea. But 1.17 did just come out... 😉 I was wondering why at times I could not sneak up on zeds unlike other times.
An additional tip if you have something in your hand that you can't carry in your inventory or if you're doing something else, for example hunting medium to large game ranging from deer, boar, elk, or bear, if you have a full set or 2 of rags in your inventory, craft 1 of the 2 options the improvised torso wrappings or improvised leg wrappings as temporary containers for your loose items. Do remember that deconstructing the improvised pieces of clothing consume 2 of the 6 required to make each of the 2 pieces.

I dislike the changes made to cooking pots. They take to much damage during use considering realistically they can last for yrs
@MelloWattz Indeed. Probably should separate damage types for determining durability. Would be a fix path for both examples.
Been using the same cooking pot for about 3 ingame days. Have used it maybe 4 times, and still pristine
@@codystovall6972 Indeed. It takes quite a long time to mess it up in practice. Doesn't really bother me. I find enough fishing anyway!
I am pissed off too. And how about silencers? Are they any more durable nowadays? -I haven't played in a while-
@@iijj Silencers are about as durable as guns and can be repaired now (gun cleaning kit). The improvised silencer is still 3 shots to ruined. Works out about right (cleaning silencers IRL after a lot of shooting is incredibly annoying, and they aren't anywhere near as quiet as in this game except for subsonic loads).
The crafting a bone knife by using any rock texture in the game and the morning/night finishing yields 2x the chance of catching fish is new to me thanks man!
Some door ways allow you to place the fireplace in the door way. While most of the fire is outside, it still counts it as inside from the rain, but outside to get it lit.
I actually had a theory on the fishing tip so it's awesome to know I'm not crazy! And that item on-top of a fire trick is gonna come in handy..

Bro foot wraps are my absolute go to! Generally I main the feet, face, and hand wraps versus their actual counterparts. Especially with simply needing more rags to repair them this saving your sewing kits and leather repair kits for your bags and plates.

There is one more trick that no youtuber ever mentioned, even "pro" youtubers that play dayz
When the action circle is complete, you will go thru some animation depends on what you doing,
instead of waiting a moment, sprint away, it will cancel any action and you are ready to do another action, grab a gun or quickly bandage another wound.
A player bandaging 3 wound = player bandaging 5 wound with "cancel action", almost same time.
Yes and some things will cancel with the raised fist animation also.

This was very interesting to learn, i only really knew about the shoe thing and the zombie detection/stealth kill part. I think that the fire umbrella will help me a lot since I tend to always get rained on

Drag the fire place to your lighter/matches if u can't get the option inside the bush or under a tree

Pro tip for zombies. If you crouch completely still inside a bush as long as you didnt attract the zombies they will walk directly around and passed you just kinda hanging out. This works good for camping military bases because nobody expects a person in a bush next to 5 zombies.
I used to do this a couple years ago but they would sometimes walk right onto me and find me. Either my bush-hiding skills are bad or something changed. I assume the former. Probably time to return to dayz though.

Great video...the bone knife trick and so much to learn about those foot wraps...liked and sub'd, per THE RULES!
When you light the fire in the rain you just move back a bit when he animation starts and I never take damage. Made plenty fires on the ice sheets in blizzards haha. Didnt know about the fish one or being able to use a boulder to craft the new bone knife so I guess I have to like haha.

Crafting bone knifes just from about any rocks you find is amazing!! That and also the foot wraps! Both of those is gonna be very useful to know about when I start playing DayZ more to get better

Even being able to make a fireplace without a guide is good progress for me and some of these tips helped

Damn I really thought I had you knowing all these tips but I hadn’t noticed the torch and broom sticking up on the ground, you got my like this time wobo.
Want to add to the Wet Fireplace. I found if it's raining you can't light it with matches or a lighter. But you can use a hand drill to still ignite it while it's wet or raining. Literally did last night
Your match and lighter were soaked the drill kit was dry when you made it that's why
@@paytonwirtjes523 didn't say either of them were wet. However, my mate picked up the fire and replaced it, it would give you a split second to Ignite. But then would go away. So last resort was a hand drill. We had to cook some fish before we starved to death

Hey here's another pro tip!
You can now get into a vehicle with your weapon in your hand. So when you get out of the car you will still have the weapon out, no need to scramble for it in a shootout.
Some notes:
The driver of the car will switch his or hers fire rate setting (single fire, burst, full auto) while driving due to down shifting the car so watch out for that.
If you get know knocked out while in the car with you weapon in hand it will drop out of the car.

Protip I've not seen anyone use: To reduce time spent bandaging, instead of waiting for the animation to end, when the circle is full/as soon as the (or one of the) wounds is treated, press the right mouse button to aim. This will cancel the short animation at the end, where the character tightens up the bandage one last time. The time saved can be used to bandage again, quicker and possibly avoid death.
Do you think it works on console aswell? It would make sense that it would since it’s L2 to aim

I've always placed my fire under trees. Only because the risk of being seen is much lower when youre peeling bark though, not for keeping it dry 🤣🤣 freakin great video mate!!!

Awesome tips as usual - So just to correct you on the fishing (at least I think!!) :D - Fish are harder to catch during sunny daytime for 2 reason: they are more visible to predators and there is less oxygen near the surface

Man, amazing work!
Another Pro Tip; you can use the cooking pot and the gas stove to thaw your food very quickly on Namalsk (however soda cans and honey jars become damaged rather quickly, so don’t take them past soaked). Works great for going undetected, plus you get the heat buff really fast!
