Was watching on the TV and I thought what the actual f**k. And how could the umpires miss seeing the ball making contact with James Aish's shoulder before the mark was paid. And to add more insult to injury was Jordan Clarke giving away a dissent penalty. Don't get me wrong the lads had very right to be pissed about that missed call, but in situations like when there's less than a minute left and the game is up for grabs you can't lose you cool. It's isn't panic stations, no Fremantle are only just getting started in 2024, the purple inferno will incinerate everything in its path. And the next time we face Carlton it will be a different story and a different ending.
But I mean since when does the other team get a shot directly in front because you talked shit to the ref? Dissent doesn't impact the other team or the game at all and never has it changed an umpires decision so why do they get a free 6 points especially in a close game with a minute left? Nothing about it seems right
I didn't have Freo in the top 8 this year, however even though they suffered another Heart-breaking loss to the Blues (Again x4) they played extremely well to a side that people predict will finish top 4. Freo felt like the better side on the day, but chances have to be taken and unfortunately Freo kept the Blues in the game for far too long and they are too good at close games.

Freo technically lost the game yes, but a positive is that you were the better team away from home against a potential top 4 maybe even grand final team. Been happening too much the past few years and it's done in such a subtle way to make us think they're just human errors and we should be more forgiving of these mistakes.
