This video bumped into me just at the right moment when I wanted it. This content is so relevant even in 2024. Thanks for your effort to make such a nice tutorial. I have loads of pcap files and didn't know how to extract the right information. Now i am like suddenly enlightened. God bless u Sir!
A good friend of mine suggested I could have modified my display filter to eliminiate any retry frames overhead when assessing the throughput. I agree ths would have been a better approach to see the application data without the retries included. I'll leave it for you all to figure out with your new-found Wireshark knowledge! (hint: add in ' && wlan.fc.retry == 0' to the display filer)

Great video, long enough so that explanation is clear, but not too long. Keep 'em coming Nigel!

Thank you. This was great!
Many thanks, really interesting
can you please share how you took the pcap traces of your phone?
How do you get the signal strength reading column? Only for Wifi is it?
Any chance you could share the pcap? Just so I can have a go too (Dont have a wlan pi yet)
