We can easily appreciate The Sweetest Thing. U2 makes us want to get into the habit of loving the sweetest thing. Handsomely, all the singers are bound by the love songs.
I first heard this song on a sad night in a house I lived in with my best friend, my father. We were at a bad spot in life, a spot where no one person should be. Without going into specifics about why we were so fucked in life, I was lucid and trying to go to sleep. This song came on the radio, one of our only possessions at the time, and it made me smile. It was in the few short minutes it played that I felt better and was able to sleep thinking about the melody and lyrics. My father died a few years later from a gunshot by local police officers. He was a gentle and great father. I went astray in my comment because I thought of that place and that night.
That's rough! I hope the wheel has turned you up to the sun. I love music because in our darkest times... it's there. Music knows. I truly hope you're in a better place.
Some of the best penned lyrics of a love song right here. So simple really but profound. Nobody writes music like this today in popular circles quite sad.

I'm listening to U2 Sweetest Thing late October 2021
finally a song with a music video I can understand when I'm high. yay.
I love this song and video ❤
I am so sorry for your loss and pain. 💋❤️
That's rough! I hope the wheel has turned you up to the sun. I love music because in our darkest times... it's there. Music knows. I truly hope you're in a better place.
Is he still Dead?
Sounds like a Jonesing situ
Whereever you are in 2023 I hope you're doing well my friend 👍
This is the first U2 MV I have seen in MTV when I was young. :)
Me too, 😃
Saw U2 in 1983 in San Francisco Ca. Been a big part of my life , wedding songs, my kids first song they-sign. They have done everything right .
Some of the best penned lyrics of a love song right here. So simple really but profound. Nobody writes music like this today in popular circles quite sad.
They really do.
Bono is the cutest thing. I'd forgive him!
Hi Sandra, how are you doing today hope you’re good 😊😂
La cosa mas dulce es escuchar esta canción al lado de la persona que más amas.
Yo estoy al lado de mi gato :0)
Verdade 👍🏻

90's music is like a nice warm blanket. Love this one.
The highest resolution we can get in the late 90s is 480p, and we don't care, coz the music we got is better on those era :) cheers to y'all who grow on those era.
Greetings from Indonesia
My favorite U2 song! Sweet!
Hi Karen, how are you doing today hope you’re good 😊👋
This song makes me cry tears of joy because it's so happy, beautiful, and sweet. :)
God bless you God is good Jesus is Lord.
Great tune U2. Happy, positive and upbeat. Fun, but has a sensible outlook on love and the good things found in life. Catchy and friendly. Excellent effort.
One of the greatest songs and videos ever
This is an awesome video, I will never get enough of U2.
You are the sweetest thing 💛 💗 💕

This is a song for my beloved wife. I played it all Xmas one year way back when she couldn’t travel to another country. 🙏
Beautiful song....
The sweetest song.
Hi Cindie, how are you doing today hope you’re good 😊😂
THE WORDS AND MUSICAIL ARRANGMNETS THAT INSPIRED THIS SONG WAS A TRUE GIFT TO PEOPLE. THE SOUNDS AND RYTHUMS WILL STAND THE TEST OF TIME.
All things considered.. Low key one of the best music videos ever made.
Ps. Bono definitely out-kicked his coverage with Ali
This is really a masterpiece!!!
Dec 2019 and here i am still listening to this song 🖤

It’s one of my favourite songs he sings.
Same
Hasifah Omar
But are you listening in 2020?
The most beautiful love song ever written in my opinion.
My love she throws me like a rubber ball
Oh oh oh, the sweetest thing
She won't catch me or break my fall great lyrics !!!!
wtf
SUGAR XYLER his love treats him like shit but its the sweetest thing cause he is in love with her .he is there for her but she is not for him but he is still in love with her(the rubber ball is a metaphor for no matter bad she treats him he comes back)
he better open his eyes
SUGAR XYLER none of us are safe from this (he will eventually open his eyes )
@@jose5776381 nonsense.
17:36 you know nothing but comment. this situation much better than 12:84-86 and kena azab 27:84-86.
much much easier than Stevie Wonder before he couldn't see again.
A song by U2 that I particularly like. It doesn't get much airplay but I think it's great.
man, i love love love this one
Haven’t seen this video in YEARS. Such nostalgia
One of the best songs ever made.
2022🤗
Wow what a sweat and lovely song. I'll never forget it!!
Nice grammar
I don't see you putting a period at the end of a sentence.
"Ain't love the sweetest thing
Blue-eyed boy meets a brown-eyed girl
Oh oh oh, the sweetest thing"
Lol thats the dream of brown-eyed girls huh?
Ted Bundy duh
I’ve loved this song since I was a kid and i’ve never noticed until today that at the end of the video Bono mouthing the words “I’m sorry” aww. Wonder what his wife’s first reaction to this was 🙂 a gorgeous song
I love this song... beautiful..
Great song after all these years. Good times and sad memories. Awesome group.
Hi Janet, how are you doing today hope you’re good 😊👋

I have to say Bono is one of the coolest dudez on the planet.

One of my favorite songs ever, I can't believe it hasn't hit a billion views!!!❤️❤️💋💋
This is the one U2 song I like
I grew up to this song.. I was around 10 when I first saw this on MTV. And despite not knowing, let alone understanding the lyrics, I loved the song and the music video and I always rushed to the TV whenever this was played.
That music video was made in one shot. That's pretty great.
