Lovely. Richard Hawley writes poetry and sets it to wonderful music. Then makes fantastic Albums. Brilliant Production, who? One of the best singer/songwriters to come out of Britain. EVER. I have all his albums.
Wow what a voice. Fell in love when I first heard this on radio 2 a couple of days ago and thought what are they doing playing a song from the 50's/60's?
What with this and Standing at The Skies Edge still on in London,Richard is on one hell of a roll. Was lucky enough to bump into him in town the other day,Sheffield is like that.
Blows your mind how good this is. Amazing work Richard and I hope the young people in this absolutely wonderful video have fantastic lives ahead of them.❤ And thanks for the Trigger vibe....😉
i'm from the states. and did a little tour of Sheffield last summer. i remember walking through this intersection to go to the Hawley mural. take me back!!!!!! one more pint at Fagan's please!
Off to see him tonight at Glasgow Barrowland with my 21 year old daughter. This is my fav track from the new album. It encapsulates everything that's brilliant about Richard Hawley
Going to see Richard Hawley on Saturday 15th June 24 at Liverpool Olympia. The tickets are a birthday present to myself. Cant think of a better way to spend my 62nd birthday
@antonycook7701 Hi. I saw him in Wolverhampton on Tuesday. He was amazing, as always. Make sure you see the support act, Thea Gilmore (Afterlight). She was pretty impressive also. Have a great birthday on Saturday buddy. Kind regards, Les.
Heard this about 3 weeks ago, it's such a beautifully constructed piece of music, made even better by Mr Hawley's tone, and absolutely perfect for dancing to (The Metronome)!
Just heard this on BOOM Radio and I absoltely love it. It has a real early 60's feel to it and it's true medicine for today's unlistenable tripe. Cracking song Mr H! Thank you!
This feels just like coming home. Great song. Just the real magic touch and mix with indie music. As we say here in Flanders Belgium " Straffe kost". Love it!
Wow what a great record, I first heard this on BOOM on DB Radio 📻 fell in love with it straight away and on the back of this I’ve now purchased two albums of Richard, a double album on coloured vinyl the best of and further on orange vinyl, so glad I did , it just goes to show how a moment in time brings you to a new level of such joy, as I always say “ EVERY SONG TELLS A STORY, BUT THE BEST ONES STAY IN THE MEMORY “ music is the best religion to follow, it brings so much happiness and you can drift away into dreams of such pleasure
I walk through the subways 2-3 times per week on the way to work. Great song! Live in High Storrs Sheffield and have seen him walking around must say hello next time I see him.
i heard this song on BOOM RADIO and it instantly got me hooked. Such a pleasant change to hear a great simple uncomplicated ballad that is so reminiscent of the crooners who have since passed and a very catchy accompaniment as well. BRILLIANT!
Kudos to choreographer and dancers! This video, even if it's pretty basic in its cinematography, works somehow synesthetic for me and it smells like fruits and flowers, youth and energy. Great idea to present prism with coloured scarves. I can't get enough of this song and video. Great work!
@@YTguySmithy-lk6goI am a multi/instrumentalist singer/songwriter myself and try as I may I absolutely can not here any similarities to Winter wonderland.
Love this. Richard never fails to hit the spot with his amazing lyrics and beautiful guitar. Class. Real Class. Thanks for This Fantastic Upload. Regards Frank
I heard this on Radio 2 the other day, then found this and love the video too. Totally blown away by it. Just brilliant. Going to look for more of Richard's tracks now. I feel an album purchase or two coming on.
What a lovely song and video. I saw Mr Hawley and the band at Norwich LCR last night and they were fantastic. If you get the chance go and see them live.
Stunning song and the sheer joy of the dancers in the video makes it perfect. Love the contrast with Richard meandering through the scene - and all in under three minutes. Fantastic.
What a lovely song. Juat heard him interviewed on R4 with Stuart Maconie. Never heard of him b4. Im so happy!!
The real Richard Hawley with his wonderful SHEFFIELD music, the Roy Orbison from the North. This is again perfect in all aspects!
Beautiful song sung by a guy with a sweet, sweet voice!

This song is so good and a real breathe of fresh air amidst much rubbish in the charts.
I'll second that 👍 100%
A truly talented singer and songwriter, with bags of northern soul!
Just came across Mr. Hawley's music. American. Love it. My new favorite channel on Pandora. I may have discovered him late, but at least i found him.
It's never too late for great musicians
What with this and Standing at The Skies Edge still on in London,Richard is on one hell of a roll. Was lucky enough to bump into him in town the other day,Sheffield is like that.
Absolutely wonderful so reminiscent of 1970+ style and musical presence" its a wonderful peace of music and video",
So fantastically beautiful. This reminds me of Eddie Cochran's "Three steps to heaven".
Congratulations Richard 👏
No.1 on The Heritage Chart

same here, it is not of this time, it's too beautiful
Must be getting on for 25 years since I first saw him live .Brilliant .Even my wife adores him and we don't agree on much musically .
Another banger from Hawley! It sounds like something new from something old. Perfection!
That's a perfect description of Hawley generally!
The reason it sounds old is because he's blatantly copied the opening of Winter Wonderland as the basis for the melody.
🤭

How easy does he make it sound? just sublime.
This song is so beautiful, best song I've heard in a very time❤
Great song!
Brilliant as usual
❤️ this tune and especially with a Greggs. A most amazing songwriter…
It’s more likely to be a copelands, crawshaws or a berés
Listened at te radio, now found it...great!
Earworm music at its finest!
Amazing this guy is a serious musical talent, love that perfect happy rift, adore the ocean song so much great voice and wonderfully melodic
A hint of 60's brilliant 👏 ❤thankyou so much for sharing your music and all your talent of poem writing ❤❤❤
Richard could do this in his sleep , such is his talent . Dream On .
Just wonderful.
Such a great tune. So cool. 👍
First heard this on jules hollands show - the song *especially chorus * as well as the music reminded me so much of Elvis. Loved it.

A wealth of treasures ahead of you. If I could suggest one album…well, just all of them, really….

Another gem from the Sheffield musical maestro. Cannot wait, to listen, to the new album in its entirety,
Que elegancia que belleza de canción . El nuevo disco de Richard Hawley no tiene desperdicio.
THAT is a really lovely song. Sooo reminiscent of days gone by. Loved it.
Ah takes me back to the levity and innocence of the sixties and the likes of Cliff Richards and his Are You Going On A Summer a Holiday!
heard this on r2 earlier and had to look it up, lovely
Omg same Gary davis played it this morning as I was driving and now I'm here. 😊
