The wife and I just started on BLW (baby led weaning) and documenting (finally) our process with cooking, and having her eat our vegan meals with us. Been great! Okay awesome! I guess they get less views because many people watch both cooking and workout, but then some of the people who watch the cooking won't watch the workouts.
Derek! @ 3:55 Id like to point out how your feet are positioned on the bench, slightly imbalanced, favouring your left. I see you like to keep your reps balanced by alternatively crossing over your arms but dont forget the muscles stabilizing you! Anyways, love your videos, keep it up!

i’m not vegan, but i gta say, this guy’s take on fitness is spot on. he has an excellent physique and control of his body. my hat goes off to him. i’ve never seen a vegan this strong (meaning natty vegan..)

Great video Derek! Jon Venus says to work on your shoulders........I've been waiting to see you do hand-stand push-ups, to one-arm hand-stand push-ups for a long time, even commented a few times. Lets see those boulders pop-out!

I used to follow a push, pull, legs split but now my schedule is a bit tighter with uni so moving over to a full body so I can still hit everything if I only get into the gym 3 times or so a week. I know you follow a ppl split but any plans to make a full body, calisthenics video??;)
Yes thats a great idea! I really enjoy full body workouts too. If I am pressed for time and know I won't have a solid week of workouts I will definitely hit a full body or upper/lower split!
Hmm, I'll try and work some tips into a video. I started by doing dips and then at the top imagining my tailbone was attached to a string and it was pulling me up. Hard to explain.
Just finished my pull day. Eating chickpea pancakes. Rings on my list of investments. I did push ups with round dumbbells to try and mimic it and yeah...that wobble really pushes you!

I started swimming until I can't move after workouts and I noticed a huge change in my overall energy in the gym.
No, not much. I usually will do cardio on more active recovery days, but that usually involves going on the bike, maybe hill sprints if it is nice out. I don't do a lot of cardio at the moment.

Pseudo planche pushups would be good progression for the planche so maybe do them instead of those straight decline ones and do decline pseudo planche pushups?

Ive noticed by staying consistent my DOMS is very minimal if at all there along with other lofeatyle factors. I took a page out of Dereks book and started taking in Turmeric and Black Pepper post workout(I take a pill full of the stuff cuz I hate the taste)but that has also enhanced my recovery along with an anti inflammatory vegan diet.
Great workout my favourite body parts to work on is the shoulders. Sadly last week my bodybuilding "guru" Charles Poliquin passed away, I have been so fortunate to have discovered him, I still cant believe why such a healthy person has died at the quite "young" age of 57 years ( and yes I know he wasnt a vegan)

Its crazy hard and I think it would be a real challenge 💪Started pole training this year and its all body movements and you use muscles youve never used before 💪 Also hanging upside down from a pole is scary and cool 😊

You should try turning the rings out on the top of those ring push ups. Bring it to the next level by leaning forwards, you'll feel it in your chest and front delts guaranteed ;)
