When Phil died Josh got a bunch of surrogate dad's. He's really taken over his Dad's legacy. Seeing Jonathan Hillstrand made me smile.

Phil was my favorite captain in the series, I love how they used flashbacks of him in this. Was not expecting it, would also be lying if I said it didn’t bring a tear to my eye
Jonathan really helped Josh to become a future legend ... good times for Josh in Time Bandit crew.
Josh sounds more and more like Phil as he gets older.
Jonathan has always wanted someone from the next generation to thrive in the business.

I saw the old man twice in 2 weeks once in Cali in a casino (we were all rip in a casino blackjack table) and another in a small town in California. Unreal… now I’m fishing the same water as his son. Awesome family

Phil was an amazing Captain and fisherman and to see Josh follow is in footsteps and fill those big shoes is awesome! I'm sure his father is proud along with all the other men like Jonathan. Good for you Josh! Keep up the hard work as well as all the other fishermen you all have a hard job that most couldn't handle.

It's a winning formula for a show. Though I do wish that they'd stop faking some of the stuff we see on the show.

He's not going to make that much as a deckhand. But between being on the show and crabbing, it'll be in the ballpark.
Good to see a family continue a legacy in fishing. Without any major skeletons in their closet. Jake has his issues, yes, but they're due to substance abuse. He doesn't get a pass, but he can improve. I think the Hillstrands fit that mold too. Unfortunately, way too many families are like the Hansens, with a laundry list of baggage, bad behaviour, and truly scary darkness. Mandy will still be on the Deadliest Catch, but expect Sig to be gone in a year or so, just like Edgar. Way too much liability for the show.
Josh Harris this is to you, you best believe that your Dad Captain Phil Harris is proud of you. I can't wait to see what the future has in-store for you and your brother Jake Harris. From me to you keep doing what your doing.

Phil was a young man when he passed. I noticed that most of the captains on deadliest smoke alot of cigarettes. That can contribute to health problems by itself. I wish they could stop smoking, they would be better off.

I'll tell you this, when the buyers see how they treat the fish once caught, they wont buy again. None of the fish have been put on ice. In that temp. it will spoil fast or taste like shit.
