Urahara invented few things related to Squad 0. He used Hikifune inventions for his candies, he created the hot spring inspired by Tenjiro, he created a method to achieve Bankai by forcing the manifestation of the Zanpakuto's spirit.
Remember in the first arc, when Aizen was first revealed as evil and Unahona confronted him in the Central 46? There is a reason why he teleported out rather than fighting her like he did Toshiro. He'd probably have won, but that fight would take a while.

It never gets old seeing people react to the big Unohana reveal. All those hints throughout the series were leading up to this. Its practically a trope in shows where an innocent character that can still scare everyone around them ends up being a literal monster in some sense. Although we dont see much of her during her single fight, to me shes practically as strong as Yamamoto, I imagine.
When Unohana and her 2nd in command were in Hueco Mundo. There was a scene where they were approached by a Hollow who pulled back after speaking with them. That proved to be the smartest move he made after seeing this.
There are times when I have trouble keeping up with subtitles when a lot of action is going on, but trying to read them after Hikifune came out of the curtain was a battle.

It was stated from the start of the series that she was the second oldest captain besides Yamamoto also in the official data book it was stated that her strongest trait is Zanjutsu (aka the art of the blade) and not healing as well as being the second strongest Captain besides Yamamoto.
technically the third before Aizen left, according to the total amount of points in all 6 skills, Yama and Aizen are the strongest with the same score, then Unohana.

He said he wrote unohana past but didn’t find the moment to have it fit in, since in hell arc they will return maybe we will see how he recruited her. Plus in swordsmanship (she literally mastered any style) and direct sword combat unohana is stronger than Yama, but when it comes to zanpakuto power he is way above her. Their love for battle is a raw direct fight when they slash and gets slashed over and over, Yama is basically a fire nuke. Plus central 46 would have never allowed Yama to fight Zaraki because that would have been just like training him, which is the worst outcome for them. And Zaraki is a battle maniac but he didn’t join the gotei 13 to slaughter everything around him, unless they stood against him he never fought them.

If you pay attention to Unohana throughout the series, not only are most people scared of her, but her demeanor(to me) always seemed "off". She gave off a "fake smile" kind of vibe. And yes, Kenpachi named Yachiru after her, as she was the person he most admired. Subtle foreshadowing sprinkled throughout small, seemingly insignificant scenes throughout the series.

Hikifune real appearance is the slim one, in fact Hirako couldn't recognize her when he saw her fat. She gets fat on purpose because of her way of cooking that burns all the calories.
Ken chan name is not his true name, his name consist of title and location where he is from so ken chan name translated to zenpachi (title of the strongest souls reaper) zaraki (the districts in souls society he is from)
yeah it's not a case, Unohana was the first, number 1 means beginning and Kenpachi is the 11th, 11 means the new beginning, that's because Unohana considered only Kenpachi her rightful successor since the day they met.

When they defeat the previous Kenpachi, the new captain takes on the name of Kenpachi, the predecessor must die for the killer to succeed the title. Unohana just up and left so technically until zaraki killed her all the other captains including him weren’t true holders of the kenpachi title.

To be honest Shunsui is a much better head captain then Yamma because Shunsui knows to trust his instincts more rather then seeing everything in black and white like Yamma did.
