I don't blame you for thinking that. In fact, the Marine Corps Times recently posted an article saying Marines may "one day look forward to being stationed in Havana." I can confirm he was not the guest there for the 2014 Ball. If he was the guest of honor another year, this is the first I'm hearing about it! It wouldn't surprise me though.
