I take my Ferrari 360 to the Pirelli Performance Centre in Burton UK for some much needed new rubber. I also discuss my plans for the car over the coming months.
I forgot to say in the video that the full set of tyres, fitted at Pirelli's Performance Centre, cost just over £1,000. As always with tyres, I recommend shopping around for the best prices and fitters.

The original Starfish wheels are just fine. They are light weight plus easy to clean. Go 19" and the wheel's mass and resistance inertia goes up. Also, if one drives secondary roads in need of repair a taller wheel plus corresponding lower profile tire sidewall will be more vulnerable to road hazard damage.
Old tires dry out and lose their suppleness in griping the road. Especially in the wet. Definitely much needed in the rainy UK climate.
Sam, please keep doing videos on your 360. While not the most powerful/quickest car around, I'd say the combined package of what this car provides makes for a very high fun factor experience.
Keep the wheels, it's not a Stradale.

These are usually 18" smaller wheels made for the Challenge car rather than the Challenge Stradale. Personally, I don't like that as much and they are still £2-3,000

Good content Sam. I just changed out my tires that were 11 years old on my Aston Martin. I ditched the Bridgestone’s and went with Michelin. Old rubber noisy, new rubber quiet. Let us know in fact if the tires are quieter. Thanks for a great channel! 👍👍
Please get C/S wheels Sam it needs it. The car is so racey looking with the mesh grill on the back and the harness with sport seats and now with plans of a loud exshaust the standard wheels are gonna look really out of place in my opinion but you car dude!

Because he wants to keep his engine and gear box in one piece. Remember its not a ford/Vauxhall were you can just pop down the scrap yard and pick a used engine up for 400 quid.

I respect your decision. But i really don't like the stock 360 wheels. The wonderfully designed silhouette of the car deserves a better fitment. That's all a 360 needs to be completly perfect. Why not put BBS CK wheels on. Almost the same as the CS wheels. And think about the stock f430 exhaust. That's the sound you want, believe me ;)
think the standard wheels look better then the challenge tbh

Tyre technology has come such a long way in the last decade would you not consider different more performance tyres from a different manufacturer than those older style? Is it due to the tyre sizes as you said or just wanting to keep it stock?
It's fun when someone digresses from their initial idea over time. Maybe the outcome would be more interesting that way :3
The Challenge Stradale wheels are Ferrari wheels, it's still kinda stock

@stg sam we love the 360 the way you have kept it, nothing can ever be as graceful as the original. Restoring the wheel to its original leather finish is the best way to go about it, however, upgrading the exhaust to the stradale version is the best option. Other than the exhaust dont change anything, instead use the money you had set aside for the upgrades/modifications to be done to the car to get a new set of hair for your head 😆😂 (most of your subs would agree when i say up top, you are as smooth as a baby's bottom)

Sam, you don't have alcantara steering wheels to match alcantara elsewhere in the cabin! It's for grip and because it allows the best steering feel. I know this won't change your mind but maybe try an alcantara wheel and make a more informed decision? Shame about the CS wheels. Unfortunately I think the OE rims are just too small and the 360 just isn't fullfilling it's potential. Just my opinions though and no offence meant.
Understand your point but I'm not obsessed with the feel of alcantara. It wasn't offered from factory and I would prefer leather. And no offence taken re the wheels, everyone is allowed their own opinion. At first I didnt like the stock wheels, but Ive grown to love the part the play in the overall package of the car
I meant to say, best of all I love that you actually use the 360 and enjoy it as it was intended. I do much the same with my BMW E30 M3 and agree that cars feel all the better for being used! It's also great to let other people see them on the street and not just in a heated garage!
Jesus! In the US, the fronts are $300 and the rears are $400...each! The tires for my car cost $320 for the whole set!

Keep the wheels, but instead, why don't you restomod it, maybe not a tune, but some things that can make it look as Ferrari as possible but also very modern, maybe new engine parts to make it last longer, and maybe even LED lights

You're front tyres are the same width of my Seat Ibiza 😂
Your purple top clashes with the red seat belts - change to black! AND stay with smaller wheels and higher profile tyres - this will soon be the new cool - not the stupid handling/ride ruining large ones with rubber band tyres. I have a set of 17" and 19" wheels for my Cayman and it looks like it's got 4 flat tyres with the 19"s!.. and all the steering feel disappears while the ride is much worse.
Rather than spend money on Stradale wheels save it so you can upgrade a Challenge Stradale or 430 Scuderia 👍

Stick with the car being stock, embrace what it is and don't try to make it something that it isn't. It is a 360 which is awesome, it is more than cool enough without trying to be something else.

I think a lot of people overlook the tyres on expensive cars, some are very rare sizes or expensive to replace and usually have to be done in pairs also.

Mate by no means is that a classic car. Where I live we have special license plate for historic cars and a car has to be at least 25 years old to qualify and has to meet some other standards as well. But even if you don't use the legal definition of one country, consensus among old car persons is that classics don't start before 20 years of age and some argue not even before 30.

I would only change to the CS wheels and they are just so damn expensive ... and the tyres are even harder to get for them. I'm happy sticking with the stock wheels

Don't buy the Challenge Stradale wheels, buy the whole car
I don't understand why everyone keeps putting Pirellis on everything, yes they make mostly good tires, but not the best and they are often overpriced compared to their competitors.
It's mentioned in the video, they're the only manufacturer with the F marked (K1) tyres available in the sizes, which is important when keeping the car totally as Ferrari intended.

Lol, the classic TH-cam stereotype. Engine light doesn't bother me at all, has never amounted to a serious issue. I would love to keep this car until I'm an old man - it's my first Ferrari - something you dont forget
Seen Through Glass it will bother you when you get stuck in limp mode in another country of just blows the engine one day. You bought it knowing about this issue shown on the MOT history which everybody can check so if you can leave in peace with that good for you man, although I seriously doubt it's not at the back of your mind every single time you drive it. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy you're living your dream but from a viewer perspective it feels like the excitement vapours away.
VoloKin - Absolutely no reason the engine is going to blow down to a lambda sensor or failing coil pack! Sam always checks codes anyway but the more you drive a car, the more you get to know it and get a feel for what's going on. Sam clearly loves this 360 and as genuine manual cars become ever rarer, it's getting more sought after. Especially as it has been so well cared for. Sam could have a sample of engine oil analysed to confirm the internal condition of the V8 but it sounds great.

Man if you dont do any mods to your 360 people will stop watching your videos. Theyre just not interesting anymore. Keeping stock 360 wheels was already dissapointing. And now you also want to keep the stock 360 exhaust, CMON !

Amazing how much tread these tyres have. Look at how much carmakers have compromised the usability of their cars for better 0-60 and lap times by using increasingly extreme rubber.
I like this, keep it the way you like it, don't change it just for the viewers.. We are here because we like your style and character!

Sam, I wouldn't have worried so much about the other tires so much because she was stored in a garage most of it's life. I just wouldn't have taken it to a track. the sun is the biggest factor

Custom (Tubi, but not the current exhaust on the car because it is "for a Spyder" - as seen on the muffler) exhaust *>* stock.

As I mentioned at the airport, I know this guy who does my interior upholstery work based near Woking. I can get you in touch with him if you like. Porsche and Ferrari dealers and owners use him a lot.

Good decision, certain cars are best to be left close to standard. Others suit a decent modification. Ferrari is definitely in the first group. 👌

Beautiful car! The original rims remind me of the 458 rims in a way. Always best to keep things stock! I want a 360 with daytona seats and the fender shields. Prices are really great right now on 360's! You have a gem there with the manual gearbox!
Of all the mental supercars going around on TH-cam at the moment, brand new specs, 900+bhp, hypercar wannabes... this Ferrari is my absolute favourite.
I agree with you Sam, the stock wheels look great and putting the Stradale wheels on it might well come across as a bit of a 'wannabe' Stradale car. I think the stock car looks fantastic already!

So many Ferraris run on OLD tyres it's a joke. Just the other day someone was selling 599 GTO wheels with 'fresh rubber' that was 7 years old!!!!
