great video! Really learned a lot from your channel! I want to ask you, some instructor, like Sean Foley, talk about when you take away to the chest level , the bottom of the club should point to a place between the target line and right foot. I do think that means the swing plane is more vertical. Any comment on this?
+Douglas Hua Glad you are enjoying the channel. There are a couple of differing theories on swing plane and what is looks like at chest high in the backswing. Some instructors prefer the butt of the club pointing at the target line while others prefer the shaft parallel to the shaft position at address. I personally like the idea of there being a corridor to stay within. For me, that corridor falls between these two swing plane descriptions. I hope that helps and all the best with your golf game.
+DerekHooperGOLF Thank a lot! Another question about swing plane that confusing me a lot is: for a swing using the whole upper body turn like what you teach, I would say like the Ben Hogan style, do you think I should swing to the left to make better arm/body connection, and more powerful follow through?
+Douglas Hua As long as the golf swing works in a circle around your body the follow through will work to the left. How much it moves to the left should be determined by the ball flight as too much to the left will produce a fade or slice for the right hand player. I hope that helps.
Awesome vid, practicing those grip tips right now
