I’m this video I talk about the things I dislike about living and working in China 🇨🇳. Every country has its good and bad points. These are the things that annoy me.
People assuming you don't understand is my #1 pet peeve. I get that there are some foreigners in China who don't know Chinese but for those of us who have spent all the time and hard work learning it, it can feel a bit like a slap in the face. I mean, when Chinese people come to our own countries we assume they speak our language, surely the other way round should be equally true.
based,I hope China can be more open for foreigners, and try to simplify the paper works, and enforce in practicing labor laws& working ethics. These take time but will be beneficial for all people.
Yes I agree. I hope they do make improvements on those things. Overall, not too bad though. But the red tape for working here and the office politics definitely need to improve.
Yooo!!! I could make a list of a hundred things! Spiting, snorting , cutting toe nails in public transport or restaurants., nasty long pinky finger nails lol
That's true, but It bothers people not too much ,Compared to the homeless and drug addicts on the streets. and these things are not very common in big city .
Yeah the line cutters used to get under my skin., always old ppl who don’t care about nothing., economically China came a long way., socially they are still in the Stone Age
You see from this video he American hegemony from its citizens working in China. Any foreign worker on a 1 to 3 year contract is as stable in China as in any other country. Why it should be different just because the person is an American? In UK I have worked for only one company and it gave me just a yearly contract at the end and terminated it eventually, even though I was one of their chief engineer. May be if I were an American other people would be more accommodating because US the the world most powerful country? The other feature of the American is its people always think they can always do better than the local people no matter what. It is a national sickness just because everyone has right so everyone can have its own opinion consider better than the people actually doing the job regardless of skill, qualification, experience and local knowledge. Not saying China society is perfect or good but this is Asia and China is no different from Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand..... so why when it come to China saving face is not good for the American? Any society is for the benefit of the local people there and never intended to please the Americans. The Americans should really stick to their own country for their ideal world and leave the outside world alone. Doesn't this video maker realize China could only develop so much better and faster because it has the least influence from the US?
Clearly didn’t understand the video. I was referring to lack of job stability compared being American working in America where we don’t sign contracts for employment for our citizens. It meant to let other Americans who consider working in China what they may face if they make the decision to work here. I obviously like it or else I would have went home by now instead of living here for 14 years now.
About being verbally abused towards foreigners during Covid, it's even worst for the Chinese in America being labelled "Wuhan virus" and physically attacked regardless young or old!

Every place in the world has a list filled with problems
Yes 100% true. And we all have our likes and dislikes. For me , the good in China outweigh the bad.
Same problem everywhere. The boss is always right brother😅
@@vincenttay2812 that’s very true
Cutting line 😅
Yeah the cutting line is super annoying.
Loved China., but the work culture is absolutely terrible., no one ever knows what’s going on .
🇨🇳
Bringing dogs into restaurant
I do that also sometimes 😭
Or having their dogs climb onto your bed to sleep with you ... oh ... that's not usually done in China. I wonder where?
Why not if the dog is friendly ?!
I 'd rather have a dog sitting next to me rather than a chatterbox!😁
Yooo!!! I could make a list of a hundred things! Spiting, snorting , cutting toe nails in public transport or restaurants., nasty long pinky finger nails lol
Well, although those things can be seen a lot those don’t really bother me hahah

Maybe you should go to China and check for yourself. Travel to more cities.and You might even get more subscribers

Yes. It’s mostly social behaviors that bug me.
Very annoying indeed!
