Taking into account that the Philippines purchased the Super Tucanos from Embraer, which is in partnership with SaaB in the development of the Gripen E/F, this will facilitate negotiations for the acquisition of the aircraft. In addition, it could open space for the Philippines to acquire SaaB AWACS based on Embraer E-99/P-99/R-9 aircraft, the possibility of acquiring Swedish submarines or Brazilian Riachuelo type submarines, an evolution of the French Scorpene class , one of the most modern diesel-electric submarines in the world. Guarani Armored Vehicles, Artillery Saturation Rocket System Astros 2020 from Brazil, which is even capable of launching AV-TM 300 cruise missiles. There are many options that the conscientious acquisition, within the available money resources that the purchase of Gripen would provide for the Philippines.
The issue I’ve found is there isn’t much details in which variant of the Gripen the Philippines have actually bought. Philippines could have easily ordered the C variant. It would best if they get the E variant but all publications have reported “Philippines will acquire JAS-39 Gripens”. I doubt specific details would be considered “state secret”. The capabilities of the Gripen is well known. If one goes by what Thailand bought, then it would be C model. I doubt the Philippines choose the 2-seater D variant. While Brazil’s order were for E model.
I would rather die then Philippines buying gripen it's been 10 years since the last customer of the gripen and Sweden is very strict at selling their gripen like mate if they didn't not be strict be couldn't have those now I just think of Philippines buying f16 or f15 then when kf21 is tested at real combat Philippines should but it..

Correction. Brazil recently brought JAS39 E/F variant. So it not 10 years that you are speaking of.
