Dear Jannat & Kritleen : The history of this Hamd turned into song is about 40 years old. Hamd is poetry in praise of Allah. Several singers have experimented / sung it in last four decades. However, it was the late legendary singer of Pakistan Nusart Fateh Ali khan, who gave it a new twist in the early years of 2000. It was an instant hit. It almost mesmerized the entire Pakistani nation as well as India.
With the introduction of coke studio - old songs are given further make over. This is the latest version of the song that started as Hamd forty years back. Back then it was recited by Muzzaffar Warsi.
