A real kind person corrected me saying that according to RCI a PhD in clinical psychology will not give you the legal license to practice as a clinical psychologist as it is an academic and research based degree. For clinical psychology you need either an mphil or a psy.D. Psy D is fairly new so I didn't find any information regarding this when I researched for myself and also to make this video. So, I just wanted to come here and clear it out here because I wouldn't want to give any misinformation to you, guys. :)
When I was researching for myself last year and again researching for this video last week, I didn't find anywhere about PsyD. So I'm really thankful that I have people like you who'd correct me if I'm wrong. I'm trying my best to provide the best and correct information. But it seems that i too fall short. I think it'll be a good combination. Just like psych and advertising or Psych and MBA in HR. Psychology degree will help you understand consumer behavior, needs, requirements and do exhaustive market research so as to make marketing strategies accordingly. Mphil isn't discontinued in india. Its duration is 2 years. PhD or psyd, I'm not really sure of. I've read it's 4 to 6 years.. but I've heard some have completed it in less than 2 years. So I can't give you an answer for PhD and psyD

If classes are conducted by your teachers and you want to attend, you should attend (If you ask me you should attend anyway) irrespective of what other students/your friends etc want to do
If there are no classes conducted, and you want them to be conducted, talk to the professors and request them to conduct classes. If it's a distance learning course, then I don't think there will be any lectures.

In India minimum amount you can earn is 21k upto 35k as an clinical psychologist rest depends on which discipline you choose and performance, knowledge, and most importantly your eagerness.
Do you realize that every university has their own curriculum? Your question isn't as easy as yes or no. Research on the psych degree that's provided by universities and what's their curriculum. Do you have practicals or not. How are they conducted. I don't know about ALL the universities in this country or in the world. So you gotta do your own research.

Clinical psychologist deals with people having mental illness, disorders and counsel them. Counselling psychologist deals with the general public regarding relationships, stress, etc and counsel them. Both counsel, but WHO they counsel is different.
As far as I know, someone with a degree in applied psychology, they’ll be better suited in research and counselling rather than HR. For HR, you need a degree in industrial and organisational psychology. If you want to work in HR, then you do get MBA degree after MA in applied psych.

I cannot do the research of ALL the colleges in India (or abroad). Also, there are many reasons why you'd choose one college over another. So it's better if you do your own research. 😁😁 I think foreign universities give you more exposure. So if you're going to do masters in Psychology as well, then it's good if you study abroad. ☺️
I know for a fact that Xavier's, Mithibai and Ruia are really good for BA in psychology. But these colleges (like most colleges in Mumbai) are affiliated to Mumbai University. There's Amity University, Panvel that does provide BA in psychology.

There isn't any different criteria to be a "psychology" professor. Also, there are different courses that you'd have to do to teach in school and junior college/senior college.

Psychiatrist is a doctor. To become a doctor you have to choose science and then get into medicine.
You can't be a psychiatrist but you'll be a psychologist.
