Hello Kieran I'am from New Zealand and have watched a lot of your videos so its about time I joined your channel,I subscribe to your mate Scouse Trainspotter 1999. I did a UK rail tour a couple of years ago so I have visited a lot of the stations you visit and my visit to Penzance, it was a very nice sunny day unlike yours,I stayed in a hotel across the road from the station, being from overseas we can purchase a UK rail pass either standard class or first class before we arrive in the UK,the first class pass is very good value, we have a couple of options 7 days travel out of 14 or 14 days out of 30 and the train manager should sign off each day of travel however a lot don't bother so thats an extra day you get,I covered most to of the UK in 21 days and most had first class excluding some local services (steam) or use trains like the Pacers!!! worst trains I have ever had the pleasure to travel on. Looking forward to your future videos. Brian
+bravohotel100 Hello Brian. Thanks for joining my channel. Unfortunately I must correct you and say that me and Scouse are no longer friends (long story) but don't let that affect you watching any of my stuff. I loved Penzance and it sounded like you did as well. When you say you covered a lot of the UK in 21 days, were there any highlights? 😊
Kieran... no problem on the long story......many highlights racing through the English countryside First Class having breakfast/lunch/dinner on a VT 390/220/221, GWR trains sending emails home to NZ using the onboard wifi, Steam trains,EMUs,DMUs (except those Pacers) narrow gauge Welch trains,York railway museum ,Scotrail west coast line all good stuff.
I thought Arisaig was the Westernmost station. I cold be wrong. I'll be down there in a few weeks when I do my end-to-end. I have factored in a couple of hours at Penzance, so I can put my Nikon to good work.
Arisaig is the most westerly station in the UK. Arisaig 5°50'22.42"W Penzance 5°31'56.77"W The moster westerly rail line is the line between Arisaig and Mallaig

Aye, it was late and only arrived about 1925 at Wav. Almost made me miss my train home at 1929!
+ScotRail 170401 Blimey you didn't have much time to spare that's for sure. At least you got the train. 😊
+KTV Videos Very true. Didn't help that they put us all the way over on Platform 9 though!
+ScotRail 170401 That sucks. Was that the initial plan or did they change the platform last minute?
Good video despite the weather
Excellent video Mate
