Hi you look like you know your stuff,,I'm viewing one of these tomorrow anything in particular to look out for,,and when you were doing the timing why did you remove the crank cog and then refit do you just not refit belt etc,,, cheers john
Hello! Changed the shimming in the crank, check if the multirib belt has been changed. check if the idler for the multirib belt is ok. if the multi-ribbed belt breaks, you will damage the engine.
Hello! no. multirib belt is the one that sits on the dynamo, the one you can see, the timing belt you can't see, then you have to dismantle some covers. multirib belt pulls dynamo and servo steering, hope this helps a bit :-)
Hei -LUKASZ- L Good to see that you can use my films on the channel, it will be better space if you take out the radiator, but it is a little more work.
yes, it is an interference engine.Because the timing chain/belt is broken, the valves aren't moving, which means some of them are stuck in the open position. If the piston travels far enough in the cylinder to actually hit the open valves, that's an interference engine.
@@Tigernor Haha, ja :) Ser på en SGV som trenger å få ny registerreim, så denne filmen var interessant! Ser jo ut som en overkommelig jobb for en hobbymekaniker?
Hi You have to change the water pump, if you buy a timing belt set, it must be included. And then you have to change the multi-rib Drive Belts. If there's anything, just ask. :-)
@@Tigernor Alright thanks a lot, will give it a try lets see how it goes. Just did the fuel filter went really easy thanks to your videos. Do you have any tips how to get the oil filter off? Its in really tight and cant get anything in there. Greets
Hi, If the timing belt is not on the marks, the pistons will go in the valves. then you have to change valves, it is a lot of work and expensive, the marks must be on the camshaft and crankshaft, do not have to be on the mark on the diesel pump. hope this helps you :-)
Hi,Your owner's manual is a good resource and will indicate the mileage interval recommended for your specific vehicle make and model. Depending on the manufacturer of the vehicle, mileage ranges for recommended timing belt replacement is anywhere from 60,000 miles to 100,000 miles and 6-10 years old. Also change fan belt.
❤❤❤❤❤remarkable 🎉🎉🎉
Cheers for this
Thanks :-)

Thanks for the video. Could you advise on the timing pin and camshaft pin locations?
Hi, are you thinking about the marks on the timing belt?
@@Tigernor no the locking pin for crank. I think it's down to the right of the oil filter. Awful position and can't seem to access easily.

@@Tigernor Hi, maybe you have a video of a timing belt tensioner. I mean exactly how to do it, best regards and thanks to all the videos good job pp.

Yes, the radiator was broken, do not remove radiator for changing timing belt.

I think the timing belt is loose 6:21 , notice how it is at the beginning 2:10.
Hi, do you have any indication of how long it should reasonably take to do this?

It probably takes 3 to 4 hours of work
