Same. Almost never fails though, I park way out in the parking lot and will have someone park next to me. lol. Sometimes its a BMW, Mercedes or Lexus.

It looks like a concept rendering with the cover on...lol....I can relate of what you said in the past of appreciating what you have, and I do. It is such a great feeling of what hard work pays off and will continue to do so. I felt the emotional aura that you speak of, I'm very happy that your in a great place and time to have what you have. With that said, I cannot wait to get a beater to leave my 2020 STI in the garage as well and only take it out on all sunny days. Stay healthy and be safe....

Dude i totally get what you mean about being able to store your sti in the garage, not having to worry about it and having a nice daily! Doesnt matter the price of the car, as long as it’s your fun car that makes you happy. Cant wait to one day have my speed 3 parked up in my garage all nice n cozy, with a focus rs as new my daily, its a dream of mine too :)

I do the same thing with my sti every winter here in Colorado. I cover it with a weather tech car cover, it was expensive but looks and works great.

Great vid!, I'm debating if I should get the Premium vs. the Indoor car cover?. It's just about 20 bucks more and lifetime warranty. I'm based in Canada and store my STI in the winter as well.

Same situation for me, picked up a 2020 limited last december in pearl white and then the pandemic hit so never really drive it still under 4k on the clock. I have a 2015 premium Impreza city beater bought new which just hit 150k and a 2017 limited Hyundai Tucson both payoff so the WRX is now the weekend fun car. Yeah I know I should drive it in all types of weather but like you it now feels special every time I drive it, Just my OCD I guess LOL. Thanks for the car cover link looks like a must buy. I have a ctek 56-959 that I use for my Shelby gt350. It pulse charges to maintain when the battery reaches its peak. A lot of higher end car brands recommend ctek

I will be looking for an indoor outdoor car covers here soon. I want an indoor now for similar reasons. The wife or kids walking around the car with the recycle bin, ya... but in 6 months the STI will have to be outdoors for a bit and I need to find something to protect it from the elements.
I know that feeling I have a truck for a daily wife has a crosstrek and my sti is the weekend car
I agree with you and I'm in the same boat as you. My STi is my weekend fun car while my Tacoma is my daily driver. I bought my STi in April of 2019 and right now my ODO reads under 1500 miles. I'm a Toyota/Honda guy but after driving an bugeye WRX 5MT several years back, I fell in love with it. So much torque. That is when someday I will get a Subaru WRX. When I was going to buy a Subaru, I did my research on both models. Either get a WRX with low end torque power and better fuel economy or the robust STi with more power and that rumble sound. I chose the STi due to the rumble of the UEL 2.5 EJ motor and I wanted the top of the line model of the WRX. I wish I could post a picture of my STi but I don't have a TH-cam channel. Same with mine man, I have a 19 Jeep GC and a 17 f450 so the sti only comes out of the garage when it's nice out.
Its so nice having a commuter car at least for me I travel about 80miles a day 7 days a week from l.i to queens. Im like you I baby my sti so much :D I just finish doing a paint protection film to the entire front half of the car, highly recommended. Car cover looks real nice 👌
Great video! You and I think exactly alike. I now have a similar situation with a Mercedes that I bought. Never thought I would have a daily driver and a car that I treasure and keep safe in the garage. I just go into the garage just to look at it :-). Enjoy your car!

I no exactly how you feel. I saved for years to get a sti. Recently about 2 weeks ago I got my 05 sti and 1 week later got a daily driver. Now I'm driving the daily n keeping the sti parked and taken care of. It's so surreal cuz I dreamed of this for so long. I'm actually looking at covers to buy next month lol. This video is exactly me man.

If you get a proper cover, it won’t damage the paint. Better covers have a soft and safe inside so it doesn’t do any damage.

Depends on what you are looking for as a daily. What’s important to you? Mpg? Price? There are a lot of great options. You just need to dwindle down what features you are looking for first.

I know this video is a little bit old but are their outdoor car covers any good? Sadly mine has to sit outside during the winter but I do have a daily driver to get me around.
I haven’t tried their outdoor cover so I can’t say. Although, I’ve been happy with the indoor one.

Funny - I just went the other way. I had both a 2020 Outback XT and an 2020 STi Series.white and I got rid of the Outback. I just didn't enjoy driving it. Of course, I live in Georgia, so we don't get the snow/salt issue that you do. Nevertheless, I chuckled when I saw that you'd done the opposite of what I'd done. :-)
Haha if I lived in a warmer environment, definitely would be in the same boat. But living where I live and seeing what the salt and brine does to cars makes me happy I’m able to do this.

My main concern is putting unnecessary scratches on my paint 😒
Still love it and use it often. As long as the car is properly washed prior to covering, you won’t experience any type of paint issues. It has been a fantastic cover.

Fits like a glove, just watch out for them spiders/insects that find there way underneath the sti.
Our house is sprayed for insects and all that. No worries here!

I have nearly a decade of WRX and STI winters under my belt. Had plenty of fun with them all, but given the amount of time and money put into this one, I feel much better about it being safe at home while I commute to work each week. Will I take it out on a weekend if we get snow? Absolutely. But the daily commute through the salt, brine, and snow gets old. Especially when you care for something so much. Would hate for someone else to ruin it for me. Besides, I am driving a Subaru year round. The outback is my daily and is plenty of fun in the snow!

Sure is. And I’ve driven it 4 years and 32k miles every single day. Now I have the means and ability to keep it as clean as it is in the video and take it out when I want. Nothing to miss. Just living a dream of mine.
